It’s absurd that some of the larger LLMs now use hundreds of billions of parameters (e.g. llama3.1 with 405B).
This doesn’t really seem like a smart usage of ressources if you need several of the largest GPUs available to even run one conversation.

It seems a little late, two month before the end of his term.
It makes sense from the perspective that Musk is the new (secret) president of the USA. He paid hundreds of millions to get to this position, now he tries to get profit from it.
I can’t see how this makes any sense in a geopolitical view.
Despite not liking the requst for a pay cut, it seems clear that VW can’t just sit and wait for the best. There are significant challenges coming ahead.
The shareholders!
Ford has two manufacturing facilities in germany.
Not really. It is clearly a thing of the past, when batteries were expensive and not as reliable as today. Don’t forget that the zoe was released 10 years ago.
It doesn’t appear that Musk is interested in cheap electric cars. My guess is that the M3 is the smallest Tesla for a while.
Maybe because many streaming services have locked their 4k content behind some specific apps and platforms and offer lower resolutions on general desktop PCs.
Generally, we (sadly) see smart monitors come up like smart TVs did ten years ago.
Some noteable features include streaming apps (netflix…) and wireless screen mirroring from phones.
Really? At least 90% of packets I get are deposited without signature.
I think it is necessary to make a difference between delivering cheap stuff and a new iPhone or laptop.
Ending the expensive roaming was way more useful than free wifi. Though free wifi is nice as well.
“National security” and “defense” just sound better than destabilizing the region and terrorizing neighboring countries.
ssh with an easy to guess root password?
It probably has a large database of exploits it can use. The article claims 20k, but this seems to high for me.
Yes, but they replace common tools like top or lsof with manipulated versions. This might at least trick less experienced sysadmins.
Edit: Some found out about the vulnerability by ressource alerts. Probably very easy in a virtualized environment. The malware can’t fool the hypervisor ;)
More than 40% of all federal spending goes into the defense sector? That’s absolutely insane, no country can survive this (unless they get massive support, like Ukraine does).
I don’t think your brain can be reasonably compared with an LLM, just like it can’t be compared with a calculator.
