10·5 days agoIt literally warms my heart to know they are all just as temporary as the rest of us. And how afraid they are of being dust in the wind
I guess that makes sense, sounds stressful but like I said you do you. Thanks for explaining!
But why would I want them all to change? I just don’t see how that’s useful, the others are monitors are all flexible for my needs in the moment.
This actually confuses me, I’ve got one monitor I specifically use for messages(email client, work chat, personal chats, etc.) and another dedicated to media(music, podcast, streaming). The others are all varied depending on what I’m working on. Why would I want those to swap desktops with the other 3-4 which will always be doing many differing things?

30·27 days agoA large number of the problems we currently face and will in the future come down to boomers being worse than their predecessors at grasping, understanding, and accepting their own impermanence and unimportance on the grand stage of reality.
Most of them need to have a series of existential crises or maybe read some fucking Satre so they can stop with the Me generation bullshit. It’s wild that the first generation to do LSD in mass is somehow the one that needs to experience ego death the most

The rich have co-opted Christianity and the insane devotion its internal logic creates to build their perfect foot soldiers

31·2 months agoNukes weirdly are the thing that ultimately have kept the elite on top for as long as they have. The US can, has, and does fuck with any potential movement, group, leader, or uprising anywhere that might one day threaten the wealthy, and no one can do shit about it because the oligarchs in charge of the US would rather destroy the fucking world than give up a cent.
