13·22 days agoThis guy kept going through my recycling to take aluminum cans, so I started sorting cans into a separate bag and putting them on top of the recycling every week. Made things easier for him, and I didn’t have to hear the rumbling and clanking of cans on my sidewalk every week
What is the purpose of bots posting on Lemmy? There’s no karma, no real advertising, and data scraping can be done without posting.

Also, and even less directly relevant to my life, I live a couple blocks away from a very famous dead gangster’s old hideout. One of the members of the gang, who lived down the street from me, went on to have a fairly iconic role in a classic mob movie

Somebody recently acted like I was weird for looking up an actor’s filmography on Wikipedia instead of imdb. But I HATE imdb’s interface and will avoid it every time if I can. Wikipedia might not have every project a person has worked on but it has enough and it’s just presented in a simple table

How about any statement told with the intent of the recipient believing something about the world that the speaker knows to not be true
