German fox news basically
The fascists will do the same but worse. Vote for the far left if you want to f*ck over the corporate stooges
Who would have guessed. And europeans live longer, happier and less stressful lives than US-americans.
Liberalism is so incredibly cringe.
What’s next? The Francis Fukuyama Institute for political change?
Plot twist: Putin gets arrested via the ICC arrest warrant.
A temporary ban sounds great actually
F*ck these people.
Big tech is quite literally eroding our sense of reality and threatening social cohesion and all we get is these worms in government bowing to big tech’s demands for more surveillance data and infinite money.
The dominance of behavioral advertising business models that rely on tracking and profiling web users to monetize their attention has raised the commercial stakes for any reform of EU ePrivacy rules.
This is quite literally farming people as cattle and extracting value from and manipulating their identity. It should not be regulated, it should he outlawed.
Burn more money for your AI overlords. Burn the planet for profit!
Why would we want those backwater hellscapes?
Read through the regulations.
I see them as necessary protections against a technology that can—in the wrong hands—be an existential threat to individual liberty and democracy. The loosening of these regulations is not something I would be happy about, especially since most of the AI craze lately has been mainly focused on LLMs (questionably useful, extremely energy hungry, large scale investment incompatible with climate goals) and recommender systems.
Both of these use cases have contributed to a deep polarization of society through a barrage of fake content and the creation of echo chambers/social bubbles. Allowing further unregulated uses in areas that are, as of right now, controlled because of high risk (such as social scoring, biometric identification or cognitive behavioral manipulation), seems deeply irresponsible to me.
Maybe we should break up Google 🤷
They want
I was posting this because, as was the case with FDR in the US, the burgeois press in Germany deeply despises “die Linke” for the very same reason: they are a threat to the power of organized money.
FDR certainly wasn’t a communist but it seems kinda odd to me how you’d miss the main point of my post, especially given the context of my reply.
“Die Linke” is somewhere in between social-democracy and socialism in terms of economic policy, with party co-leader Jan van Aken going as far as repeatedly expressing his desire to expropriate billionaires. Certainly a breath of fresh air compared to the neoliberal controlled opposition party SPD.
I love the name
At this point I really feel like humanity would be better off if we just banned all corporate social media.
No. Show strength first and then deescalate when he chickens out. If you show weakness he will push for more concessions.
