As a Gen Xer, I would agree. When we had games, you had to figure it out. From there, it just got harder and harder until you died. No pretty graphics, no saves, no easy mode.
Now get offa muh lawn!
E: words are hard
I would love to be able to say the most ridiculous, warped, ignorant, crazy ass shit, and have everyone else believe me to the point they are willing to fight on my behalf.
Oh wait…
Some people like it, some don’t. People think I’m weird that I text someone before calling, because I don’t want to call at a bad time.
Also, if you post to a community that is pretty quiet, once you do, it’s no longer quiet ;)
Initially I read that as “you can go back in time for 24 hours” and thought why would 24 hours ago be that interesting? :)
So my initial answer is: Not eating the late night burger I had last night.
My final answer is: San Francisco in the 60s/70s to hang out with the Dead and all the other amazing artists of that time. Maybe see a show at the Fillmore.
In a job interview I asked a CIS grad what the steps are to compile something on the command line and they had no clue. If it’s not “sudo apt install” they are lost.
Lady Grey
Earl Grey in a pinch
A big hole was dug at the police station. They’re currently looking into it.
Why do firefighters wear red suspenders? Keeps their pants up.
People seem to have forgotten this is not /c/nostupidquestions or a place to get always helpful advice and definitely is not where people should expect wisdom to be dispensed. In fact, it breaks the rules of this community (see rule #5).
I would say this is the best advice here. Upvote from me!
I can feel your pain. I have “poofy” hair and I’m trying to grow my hair longer. I switched to Uppercut Easy Hold and it’s helping me get through those awkward times.
10/10 would recommend.
HTH!
This is why we can’t have nice things
It’s similar to geocaching and Pokémon Go because you have to visit the location to interact with it. There is also a whole team aspect.
I’ve recently switched from Geocaching to Ingress. It has very similar benefits and doesn’t require digging around a bunch of ivy.
After 20 years on vi/m, I recently moved to vscode with vim plugin and I have to admit… I really like it.
Wish I could say the same :/
I have hundreds of passwords, there’s no way I could manage that without a password manager.
1Password isn’t terrible, it’s pretty intuitive.
Bitwarden is another popular option.
Using the same (or similar) passwords for multiple things is a really bad idea.
