Wow, that sucks. RTJ has been solid, but that is just outright homophobia. Also did not know about the NRA TV bullshit or meeting with Brian Kemp.

Just listened to her latest single. Great as expected. Definitely in that trip hop vein. The video was like a mix of Winamp’s milkdrop visualizer and Juice Galaxy
At my first job in Seattle I was able to bond over music with my coworkers thanks a lot to KEXP. Glad to hear it is getting a wider audience
I saw 311 at the Warped Tour in high school. I have never really been a fan, but they were opening for Rancid on the main stage. That was a huge line up mistake. Almost everyone in the crowd was also waiting for Rancid. I saw someone throw the free compilation disc at them, hit the guitarist in the hand causing him to break a string. I felt real bad for them
Is the fossil also a TERF?
Good to know. I personally think the people around him that came up in the Tiny Desk are still going to be good curators.
Sure, but things from NPR are especially resilient to that thanks to the public broadcast model. Tiny Desk is also particularly sheltered from jumping the shark thanks to the curators that fully understand what they have. Not saying it is impossible, but it is in a pretty good spot on both fronts
Tiny desk has had very big names on before and managed to not jump the shark. Lizzo, Moby, The Cranberries, and a lot more. The fortunate thing is that the chance for enshittification is pretty low since it is publically funded. It is possible when Bob Boilen moves on it could take a turn, but the people below him seem to be pretty passionate about the same mission.
Do you mean Tiny Desk or Khruangbin has jumped the shark? If it is Tiny Desk, not sure how showing live music could jump the shark
Ah, got ya. Had me a little confused too
They signed a petition to NOT bar Israel from Eurovision
This song came up on my local’s trivia the other night. The question was what is the name of the group. They played the song, and they say their name very early in the song. Too many people got that one wrong.
What definition of Dad Rock did they use? Because from my definition it would be a more unified genre, not just songs that were on the radio before they turned 35.
