  • I know somebody who knows someone who has a private movie (TV, etc) server and had the access for free up to this year… electric prices being what they are he finally had to start charging 10$ a month.

I’ve used it for 4 years so in 4 more years the total charge is 5$ a month.

I will gladly pay for a service like this that’s private & only done as a “hobby” rather than give my minutes to a corporation.

  • Depends on your budget, really. Is it worth you to get basically ‘disposable’ shirts?

I have had some organic cotton Tshirts last me 13+ years now and they still look great/color, etc. They cost at the time 15$ or: a little over 1$ per year.

I just loaded up on some shirts from Uniqlo because of a comment a friend made on their clothing that they last a long time (10+ yrs)-and she has way better judgement in clothing than I do…for sure. So there basic T is 10€, but I got a deal on the first order through their website & got 10 for 6.50€each.

That being said, I would load up on these and have them in stock at home and get a much use out of them as I could (and when they wear down they’re hobby/work/outdoor etc.)…

Edit: wash in cold water, do not use fabric softeners, and only 1-2 T of detergent, line dry if you can

  • Dems have been nothing but a doormat for the last 30 years, the party of complicity. I’m absolutely positive they’ve been playing the dupe and moving the US further to the right all the while playing the victim.

Could have fixed the electoral college but didn’t. Could have codified abortion into the constitution but didn’t. Could have filled RBGs supreme court seat without Senate confirmation regardless of the pearl clutching, but didn’t. Could have put pressure on the justice department to get their investigation done with to get the trial for Trump for treason at least started…but fuck me, they didn’t… seriously- they couldn’t put a case together in 3 years???

Could have, should have, would have. Fucking useless.

  • FWIW it’s best not to use virgin olive oil for cooking, the flavor is too intense and a waste of good oil.

Olive oil is good to cook with, but people tend to buy the cheapest they can find which is usually ‘pommace’ olive oil (US term) Orujo de oliva (ES), which is the absolute shit left over, reprocessed and bottled. Horrible, bitter, and not worth it.

An excellent middle ground is blending your olive oil (not virgin, not Orujo) with a neutral low cost cooking oil (sunflower is prevalent where we oive). 75% to 25% is a good ratio to start.

I started doing this when prices shot up & I could still get a good on bulk (3l cans).

Now, this is for cooking. The best olive oil for eating uncooked, finishing dishes, marinating vegetables etc.(IMO) is Mosto, or unfiltered.
