It’s been a couple of years since Teslas were the go-to option, at least this is making people catch up to the fact.
For a better lemmy experience, remember to block lemmy.ml , lemmygrad, and hexbear.net . On mbin, use URL spec /d/<domain_name> and block. Or since that doesn’t seem to work, just block their communities whenever they pop-up.
Moved on to the better fediverse platform, mbin, avoid lemmy instances: https://github.com/jointhefediverse-net/jointhefediverse.net/blob/main/README.md (scroll to bottom)

It should consider it. The EU isn’t the US, joining isn’t a requirement to stay as Brexit has showed, and joining a common Euro economy is a good way for Canada to stabilize it’s dollar problem. It should begin normalizing its trade and regulations to those required by the EU if it’s interested. Unfortunately, it would also mean not accepting the trash that’s allowed to circulate within the US and which Canada is pressured to accept, which would limit trade with a land neighbor.
I messaged Margrethe Vestager’s team years ago after she did an interview on reddit to inform her on the many violations reddit had had and whether she realized that by participating in the social network they were in some way condoning it. They did not care, it’s all a public show. If they had cared long ago, they would have been at the forefront of technologies like the fediverse and their adoption and development. They are great at suing corporations from foreign nations for money, not so much on understanding the why of their own legislation that allows them to do that.
The dozens of departments still having social network presence through their networks says no.
That’s ok, the ones who don’t want to join will get deported as illegal immigrants once they barge in. That, or put into remote reservations in land nobody wants.
Oh no, models will be more responsive to anyone as opposed to only billionaires.
This is not good news, but when you’ve let the genie out of the bottle, this just seems like balancing the scales. At this point, transparency, not closing off the information to a select information, is a good thing. Something social networks like this fail to get.
“Whistleblows”. What a moronic take, in this regard taking the word of Edward Snowden is like taking the word of a random stranger in the street. At least we know on what Edward Snowden is likely spending his days on in Russia: Gaming. Wouldn’t blame him, it’s not like he can freely travel.
Talk about a shitload slice of the irony pie, the industry that has not given two shits about intellectual property is getting undone by the masters of intellectual property theft and they don’t even have a recourse because of the bed they’ve made. Now, it’s time to lie in it.
It’s a practical monopoly due to how they’ve exploited their Android presence in the mobile market. The only viable alternative is Yelp. The biggest problem is getting people to jump on the same platform and to leave reviews, and Google does this with mobile location tracking, even prompting the user when they think they’ve been remotely near a location at times. Maybe it does need a fediversed alternative, it is quite the unaddressed monopoly.
I didn’t have a problem with using YouTube Premium, but Google is doing a lot of shitty practices. The latest is purging Google Maps reviews in collusion with local authorities for private interests. Maybe don’t be part of a shitty monopoly while trying to push this sort of bullshit onto us?
People who’ve gotten samples are claiming that it’s basically like having a hairdryer in your system. This suggests that normal GPU positioning will interfere even more with the CPU in an air-cooled system. People might need to consider switching to AIOs, use specially designed cases, or just buy one of the water cooled 5090 partner models just to make sure. In normal configurations the extra heating is liable to affect CPU, RAM, and potentially even M.2 performance.
I consider this rather foreboding for their SFF 5090 release. If anyone is getting one, seriously reconsider getting one from another manufacturer, the guy in charge of overheating concerns got thrown out the window.
Implying they already have it from Google’s side.
