Baby steps man, baby steps. The fact that one of the has a line is a start.

Thankfully there are alternatives out there, and we should be using them.
They don’t. The message right now is to boycott Spotify.
For those not in the mood to read, saved you a click but thank you for the link @jordanlund!
The history of impeachment in the United States is important to understanding the Bill Clinton saga. The Founding Fathers wrote impeachment—originally a Roman political institution—into the constitution for the purpose of removing an official who had “rendered himself obnoxious,” in the words of Benjamin Franklin. Without impeachment, Franklin argued, citizens’ only recourse was assassination, which would leave the political official “not only deprived of his life but of the opportunity of vindicating his character.”
It would be best, Franklin argued, “to provide the Constitution for the regular punishment of the Executive when his misconduct should deserve it, and for his honorable acquittal when he should be justly accused.”
The bottom line here is that if anyone manages to eliminate prosecution for acts performed while they are president, expect the Punisher. In fact, while I don’t normally support violence, I’d have to say it’s a patriot’s duty.
It’s almost like hearing a guy say he heard something from another guy is hearsay! Who knew??
At the same time who cares more about their job, this guy or the guy who ran off to Cancun xD
No, and you wonder why presidents keep pressing to give themselves more executive authority. The screaming children in Congress who never learned how to share are about to give the American people one more nothing-sandwich, just like every meal we’ve been served for decades.
You remember that recent story about the fact that we can seemingly go to war without Congress’ approval? Yeah, just imagine trying to get these twats to agree to do anything militarily. They’d still be arguing after the smoke cleared.
Trump’s obviously butthurt he wasn’t cast in a Mad Max movie, so he’s making the world a dystopian nightmare world that worships gas.
Now he just needs to eat the hearts of 10 virgins to de-age himself. That way he can ride around on his war-mobile with his shirt off so he can impress his idol, Putin.
I think there ARE other ways to combat this, and the main one is ending activist investors that empower the Jack Welch pump and dump doctrine.
If someone wants to invest in something because they like it, they should be able to do that. What they should NOT be able to do is overwhelm a company they may or may not even like with dollars and then tell the company how to run its own business. If you don’t like what a company is doing, you SELL YOUR STOCK.
It’s this incessant worshiping of the shareholder that is step # 1 of enshittifcation.
Cancelled two weeks ago, and while it’s too early for me to have a fully informed opinion, so far I’ve noticed that if you just hold items in your cart until you reach some kind of threshold (and I admittedly don’t know what that is) you can get free shipping anyway.
It’s almost like I was paying all that money just so I could one off order anything on a whim. I’m an adult, I can exercise impulse control and stick it to Amazon in some small way by doing it. Win/Win.
Henceforth I will refer to OpenAI as ClosedAI.
This is the real stuff here. I’d like to put another question to you.
Donald Trump as a strongman was the whole image he projected in his first election, but the point at that time wasn’t “I’m a dictator” but “It’s time someone actually got something done at the top.”. Even with all this fire and brimstone, I think this underlying suspicion that our government doesn’t actually govern effectively is still the real problem.
I don’t know that it’s one that the Democrats can cure either, even if they somehow come out on top. Do you?
I dunno, Lauren, I think they might just hate you. Specifically.
I’ll go out on a limb and say it emboldens anyone that thinks the swamp is rigging the entire system against him, making him some kind of martyr for the cause and rallying people to vote.
For my part I think it may open the floodgates to other states to do the same thing. Would those other states have ever gone Red in the election? Up for debate, but if they do they’ll have to go red for another candidate.
Video beamed. Video intercepted by aliens. Think cats rule earth.
They’re right.
So is this a good entry point for reminding all these people that Putin = bad?
Ironically means that everything I watch on my Linux machine will definitely be pirated.
They’re resigning their seat but not leaving the party, as I understand it. Makes no sense at all.
I agree, we need a 3rd party terribly right now. You guys have got the edge on us in that.
Sounds like you got it alright. They’re resigning because they don’t want to be associated with ultra right wing fascists, which opens up their seat for ultra right wing fascists.
Look, nobody accused Republicans of being intelligent.
There are no applicable laws that I know about, and as a voice actor I am similarly concerned. There is a lot of focus on this in the industry atm, but we all know how glacially slow government moves. SAG-AFTRA and NAVA have this as a focus currently, and I’m watching with interest.
