Check out “Socialism… Seriously” by Danny Katch. It’s a fun, easy read that debunks a lot of the garbage we’ve been forced-fed.
Communism is socialism. It’s the goal. A classless society.
That is the goal in a socialist government. Do you prefer the US alternative of corporations running the government?

Plexamp is a dandy. Managing music locally is pretty cumbersome, so it hasn’t bothered me much. There are a few decent Jellyfin music apps, but nothing quite as polished. Manet looks promising on iOS, but I haven’t tried it yet. Haven’t jumped back to GrapheneOS quite yet, so I’m a little out of the loop there.
LDAP can be used, which isn’t bad. There are plenty of options. It’ll never be as easy as letting a 3rd party handle it for you. But, that’s a pro in my book.
I agree the client side apps are taking some time, but the developers are absolute gems.
There is an app, but it’s not receiving updates at the moment. They’re doing a complete re-write. The iOS app has been released, and it’s fantastic. The Infuse app is a great band-aid for the time being.
The only thing Plex has on Jellyfin are client apps. Sever-side… Jellyfin hands down. I was super surprised to see av1 transcoding support… In Plex we JUST got HEVC.
I’m not hating on Plex by any means, but when I have an issue with Plex, Jellyfin picks up the slack. I’ll be using Jellyfin full time after the ATV app re-write.
I am curious, though, what is it that makes you think Jellyfin’s software is inferior? Since I’ve been following, Jellyfin has released new features long before Plex.
Living conditions there continue to improve, while ours decline. A whole lot of boogie man bullshit. This article is intentionally fear mongering.

It’s just another capitalistic country no better or worse than Canada or the USA. Though, the Chinese government has said their intention is to move towards socialism, so good for them. I’m stuck over here witnessing fascist billionaires loot the government/working class.
1·2 months agoLol! 10Mbps is usually more than enough. It’s a common misconception that more speed equals less latency.
It sounds like 50 gig PON is the next logical step. We’ve deployed XGSPON, which is 10x10 Gbps shared between whatever splitter you want to use(anywhere from like 8 way to 128, we generally use 32 way splitters), and we’re testing equipment that will supposedly be supported to 100Gbps PON. Things are moving quickly!
I have a 2015 Mazda 3 with 200,000 miles on it. I’ve spent $80 on repairs. An oil pressure sensor. It’s a fantastic vehicle.
I understand, I wasn’t very specific about the goals. The China-bad non-sense just gets out of hand. The US is investing billions to ensure we all think China is some sort of boogie man. Just normal capitalism stuff.
I believe you’re referencing Hitler to the incorrect country. China’s moving towards socialism, very slowly. The US is going straight fash at the speed of light.
Maybe China isn’t the bad guy. They have goals. Goals are good. We’re mainly into destruction and extracting capital. Wild thought, maybe we’ve never been the good guys. :o
Who wouldn’t want a safe, secure America ereader. A country that takes care of their citizens. Spreads freedom. Values privacy. A good Christian nation, definitely not ran by the rich. Yikes. “China bad.”
