  • Lol, decades in Munich public transport, the best question would be what I haven’t seen. Seriously.

    • people talking to themselves, lots of them
    • people talking to strangers with the wildest stories, then turn the attention to you if you don’t recognize it in time
    • people screaming around they’ll kill, blow up, whatever everyone
    • people fighting with each other, holding up the public transport running out and back in
    • oh and Italians standing at the rails pissing on Italian wiesn weekend. Of course their backs to the street. So front to the rails. Or the other way around, doesn’t matter anyway.

    … Yeah

  • I know it’s not by definition. However it’s effects are clearly measurably like drugs and it’s hellishly destructive.

Companies put it in almost everything to make things taste ‘better’, modifying our taste and needing more for the same effect.

There’s a lot of research, also the old sugar cartel and documentaries to look up on this and of course it’s also related to the obesity crisis. The focus has been moved from sugar to fat decades ago to get sugar out of the public spotlight.

Long story short, I would consider it a drug. We’re at the point with sugar we were with cigarettes in the 80s.
