What’s a viable alternative? Bing seems to be just as rah rah AI as Google, DDG gives me oranges if I search for apples… if there is an actually useful search engine out there that isn’t actively in the process of becoming enshittified, I would absolutely love to know.

Good thing Ubuntu 24.04 LTS comes out tomorrow. I’ll be doing a reinstall on my machine and sticking with it until the next LTS release in two years.

Now that I upgraded to an iPhone with USB-C, I enjoy the convenience of having one cable for everything. Charging, connecting a display temporarily, data transfer, one cable. Never had a Mac so I didn’t get in on the Lightning to Lightning shenanigans, but I do prefer Lightning over USB-C. At least a Lightning port is easy to clean.
