Holy hell.
I’ve seen the odd case of vandalism affecting a few data points here and there. But this looks like millions of data points were affected.

Was using Mull and now with Iceraven. Add-on support for both has been awesome.
I pause videos to read what’s on screen.
An add-on that screenshots on pause would fix this. But yes, I understand the use-case as I do the same. Google doesn’t give a damn (about users).
An add-on that simply overlays a black box when you pause is easy enough.
Oh man, you’ve given me a lot of games to check out now! LOL
If you’re looking for other games based on real maps, 911 Operator is one that I recommend. I’m not sure exactly which map source they use, though.
EDIT: LOL. I see it’s the same developer for both games.
From the party that brought us the hit “don’t take our guns”, comes their next single, “we’re coming for your condoms.”
This is too good to be true. How long until Google reverses this decision? 😂
Next week: Fires 60% of the gmail staff
I didn’t. At first, it was basically a long ass message about deleting my comment out of protest. Then a few subreddit mods banned me, so I changed them to “almost makes sense” word salad 😂
I ran the script, changing the text each time, several times for good measure.
They still haven’t reverted it, and it’s been more than just a few months now.
LOL. I did the same. And I confirmed many months later that the comments were not restored.
Now I hear that Google wants to train their AI on reddit content. Haha. Good luck with that, Lorem Ipsum! 😁
LOL. Why on earth would you pay millions to train AI on a large number of sarcastic, nasty, and opinionated comments typed without much thought?
Do these hospitals and labs have to apply for a daycare license?
And are lab technicians, nurses, doctors, and scientists now forced to endure babysitter minimum wages as a result of this ruling?
Obvious sarcasm. Alabama is such an embarrassment to the free world.
Nah, I grew up in the 90s and while we had video games and PC games, we also did a LOT of non video game activities.
Riding our bikes, sports, making shit in our parent’s garage, playing in a band, RISK board game nights, cinema, arcades, hanging out at the mall, rc cars.
I mean, there was almost no time to spend playing video games.
Today’s youth are missing a lot, and they are setting themselves up for a lifetime of mental health issues and the inability to be resilient through a lack of experiences.
My kids, fortunately, had at least part of their youth without a phone. I can’t imagine what disaster awaits kids who only know phones.
Conservatives (both in Canada and the US) played their denial, anti-vax, anti-mandate game, and they still ended up dying because of it… in higher numbers. .
Heck, it even impacts mortality rates of our leading causes of death.
It’s not like being a crazy right-winger will somehow spare them from the severe consequences of climate change. They played that game with COVID, and lost.
These headsets are designed to remove you from reality, while you are still in it.
Does Apple not know that human beings are not capable of multitasking?
You are either in the real world or you are in interacting in the virtual one. Even the visual distraction isn’t something that our brains handle all that well.
People kill enough people while driving simply because they can’t change a radio station while driving. Who expects an augmented reality system to suddenly be easier than that?
I’ve had people looking at me while they are talking to people on concealed earbuds. It’s embarrassing if you respond to them as if they were actually talking to you. But how would you know who the hell they are talking to? 🤷♂️
I’m sorry, but do you just talk to strangers on the subway?
I very often greet people, say polite things, perhaps engage in some light conversation with strangers. It’s quite human to have these social interactions.
We already have smartphones that everyone is looking at anyway.
Yes, which is already bad enough. Why make it worse by having them on our faces?
Before that we had newspapers.
True, but newspapers didn’t take people out of the environment they were in - it was simply an object within that environment in which people were still fully able to interact with the outside world uninhibited.
These headsets are designed to remove you from reality, while you are still in it. =
You are making up an imaginary dystopia to peddle fear for no reason.
Nah, I just see where corporate interests are trying to move society, and I’m concerned about the negative impacts it will have.
Thank you. Such a shame. I don’t see the point of someone taking time to vandalize a platform like OSM. Such a waste of human life, and other people’s time.
