can potentially spot hazards in a home like broken glass on the floor.
There you have it! The killer app for home robotics! This is exactly what everybody’s been calling for. /s
OK maybe that was harsh… the article’s better than the title suggests though.

Article: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/authors/neuromancer-william-gibson-sci-fi-novels/
Clickbaiting and trolling. Makes it hard to see that the article writer has a couple decent points mixed in there. The suprising thing is, the article’s written by a “real” author and not just a publicist or LLM. I suspect the Telegraph editors made him write it that way.
They would sell you the DVD and then make you pay a monthly fee.
No-one could imagine such an evil business plan back in the 90s.

“Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat a machine learning algorithm.” - traditional Native American saying.
Lifetime movies are awesome because you can put them on in the background and they’re not at all distracting from the main task you’re working on.
some people still recommend using a VPN and IP address from a country where YouTube ads are prohibited, such as Myanmar, Albania, or Uzbekistan.
Wait, you can just prohibit YouTube ads at a national level? That’s somehow awesome and terrifying at the same time.
When you defend, print out your slides; at least enough for your committee and you. Then if all else fails, you can present off the paper copies. (also, it gives the committee members somewhere to write notes and to easily look back to previous slides.)
It will now require Windows Hello (via facial recognition and/or fingerprint)
So Microsoft also wants my fingerprints and a realtime capture of my face? Yeah that totally addresses my concerns. /S
Yeah, they’re so focused on screwing me over that I’m worried eventually I’ll miss something.
That data they’re collecting is more valuable now that it can be used to train A.I.s. A couple years from now they’ll push some update that lets them exfiltrate it (or its usable features.)
Same. I got a cheap Chromebook and a no-contract flip phone and only use google on that.
Yeah, I just watched this yesterday and “pretty corny” is a good way of describing it. Like these guys kidnap an engineer who developed this world-changing tech, along with a priceless USB stick and then… just let him go. After he threatened to call the police on them. (I mean, he technically IS the police…) And the Die Antwoord hideout looks like Peewee’s Playhouse. And the robot makes stunning scientific breakthroughs overnight with some spare parts and internet searches.
But the graphics were good and the basic idea was neat. I kind of liked the fact that none of the characters were likeable, since I’m into “Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. The movie paid off in the “gangsta robot” scenes, I think the movie would have been better if they’d focused on that.
This article was a lot of words with very little information.
My cousin made me watch an episode of Devilman Crybaby. It wasn’t really my thing, but yeah the visuals were outstanding. I look forward to seeing what becomes of this.
Microsoft is offering wallpapers, ask Google what it’s offering before you make the decision.
Thank you, that was very interesting, especially the second article. It’ll be worth watching the details of how this plays out over the coming years.
Hey, do you mind saying what client you’re using to read this? I mostly use a web browser and that didn’t happen for me, so I’m interested in trying out another client to see what things look like.
