I don’t understand why Proton even needs to do this shit. They created a perfect privacy focused niche in world of creepy surveillance and decided to fuck it up with dumb marketing and pricing. Google, Microsoft, Meta, Palantir and the likes will NEVER become less creepy and less spying. So, why fuck that perfect business scheme by doing dumb shit?!

Same how they advertise one price, but if you already have an account and you login, suddenly the discounts disappear. Sigh. Me upgrading from Mail Plus to Unlimited should be subject of same discounts, just like you’re attracting new users, the same way you’d attract me upgrading. Instead I get the full price. Would’ve upgraded already if it was 7,99€ as advertised instead of 9,99€. It would be for 2 years only anyway and then after this period at full price of 9,99€. But nope. So I might just as well wait and think about it a bit…

I don’t buy everything from AliExpress, but when I do, it’s because those niche weird gadgets and components just don’t exist in EU online or retail shops. Like, do you guys know how hard it is to find a cable with micro 4pin connector to standard 4pin PWM fan connector adapters to connect regular computer fan directly to graphic card? When I was modding my graphic card ordering it from China was the only option. EK had somethong, but was too long and of wrong type. So, in my case 3€ premium is something I’m willing to look over because I depend on the part availability more than cheap price.

I’d never ever order clothing from China coz it’s all low quality fakes or god forbid food or any type of cosmetics or medicine. I don’t trust any of that shit coz it’s not regulated or safety checked in any way.

I consider Vivaldi as my backup choice if there is ever something to happen to Firefox. I’ve tried it several times and it’s fine, but I still just prefer Firefox. It just works better.

What annoys me is that Vivaldi entirely depends on Google’s extensions store and that sucks. For that I actually like Opera more as they have their own that is not controlled by Google, but the browser has few really dumb issues and design choices, like why is fucking Google Search the only option in Start page?

So, yeah almost no matter what I try there’s just always something dumb and I then return to Firefox.

The main issue with phones are fucking banks. Their bullshit insisting on phones having to have locked bootloader is so fucking annoying. I used phone with LineageOS but it was nightmare to work with my bank and they all do this shit to “protect the user”. Yeah right.

Yes, I do use Android phone, but I used ADB AppControl and just deleted and disabled all the Google shit on it (easier on Samsung since they have their own services which I prefer over Google if I have to). I also run DNS level filtering using Hagezi Ultimate list which filters so much shit. Not ideal still, but it works.

I just use it without account and subscribe to my favorite channels using external RSS feed reader. This way I still keep track of my fav content and doing it entirely outside of Google. If they track me as guest, I really don’t care that much.

There is no fucking way in hell I’ll ever a) watch ads b) pay for Youtube Premium. They created this monopoly with no alternative option and now we’re suppose to just get fucked while they get even more obscenely rich beyond all tasteful levels. Yeah, I don’t think so. And given how I ditched everything Google, if it ever comes to it, I’ll ditch Youtube too. It’s basically the only thing I still even use from Google because there’s just no alternative.

I miss Nokia. When I was about to get my first Nokia touch phone they killed it off and started producing garbageware low end phones…

While AMD is no angel, I’m glad I went for Radeon RX 9070 XT this time. Really good GPU and fuck NVIDIA. I hope unified RDNA5 will work out for AMD.
