  • But people who get kids already receive various financial benefits from the state in many countries. But it is usually framed as giving them money, instead of taking from everyone else. In the Netherlands you literally get money per child.

So if I were to reframe this tax as: “people with children get a tax deduction on their pensions”, nobody would bet an eye, as similar benefits are already in place for them. But where does that money come from? Right; Tax payers. So, to give people with children a tax deduction, everyone else needs to pay more. Financially, you end up in the same situation as what is proposed here.

OP literally asks like 10 relevant questions for this place, and names their reasons for not naming specific instances. And all you focus on, is the question: who did it?

To me that is proof that OP did the right thing here.

Lets first figure out how to approach this without knowing the pupotrator.

  • If you are in one of the supported locations, I can recommend Breeze. Via Breeze you can’t chat after matching. Instead you get a date planner in front of you. You pay for actual dates, meaning the app wants you to go on dates, since that is what gives them money. Cancelling dates is penalized via badges on your profile, and less priority in the algorithm. Hence, swiping right is a serious action, even more so than a message on the more serious sites. You also get a limited amount of profiles per day (around 5 to 10 or so), so you don’t get lost in swiping sessions. And yes, you do get dates with people who you really don’t click with. But the hour or two spend having a drink are still less of a waste of energy than chatting for 2 weeks to come to the same conclusion.

  • How would untrackable digital currency even work?

Any transaction is a request from one to another entity, with some authority registering the exchange of funds. Even bitcoin works like this, where the authority is the consensus of the network, instead of a bank.

Any system without some central authority seems impossible to keep safe from fraud to me. But while I’m skeptical, I’d love to be proven wrong here.

  • This regime won’t go away just because they loose an election. Trump might, but not the people who put him in power.

The constant threat that the checks and balances will fail again, will forever be present. Only if the USA has a massive political overhaul may the worries subside. Hence, any trust in the USA as a reliable partner is broken, until something big changes. Democrats winning the next 20 years of elections will still not fix what has been broken in the last few years.

  • I started dancing 2 years ago in my early 30s. Salsa/bachata specifically. Never danced a step before then (or at least: not while sober). After a 2 years of practise, I now regularly get compliments at the festivals/parties, and the ladies at the dance school like it when I’m joining the lessons, since I can lead well. I’m still no expert, but I certainly get a lot of joy from it. And for the record: I’m a slightly overweight nerd who is certainly not nimble or agile. I also hate rythm games, I suck at those, but dancing on the beat is so much easier!

My point is: it’s worth trying. Find a dance school that teaches salsa and/or bachata, and go for it. If you find the right people, you will stay motivated, and it gets more and more fun!
