I’m a Streamer and Software/Game Dev in Liverpool, UK.
I’m making a game with a Kickstarter in 2026. Wish me luck!

You’re on my wavelength!
I’m working on the demo now and was thinking of a few channels that might synergise with it. Just need to get done ready before the cash runs out now.
Once the playable slice is out I was considering putting it straight on steam early access but it would be super early and I don’t know if that is wasting the soft release impact. I know steam give you some free promo. Can always just host a download myself though.
Google play early access is extremely difficult to understand. Can’t even get ap to appear for testers who have signed up and agreed to test, it’s crazy.

I hate ads but I’m now having to consider running ads for a Kickstarter campaign and don’t know how to feel.
Failing that, the game will need to be ad-supported. Even worse.
Even cutting down on everything life is too expensive to make much without caving somewhere.
I just hope I can make them unobtrusive and short and cause as little disturbance as possible.

They realise that being rich when it all collapses won’t save them. They need to be revered so people don’t eat them.
It won’t work.

Adobe’s predatory subscription model cost them millions. I used to happily buy newer versions of Fireworks.

Air fryer mini pizzas, no burning, keeps it warm for a while and you can throw in some fries to go with.

I got some business finance to build a vertical slice of my game which I can hopefully launch on Kickstarter to make the rest of it.
It’s a lot of work but the prototype was fun and there’s lots of interesting stuff to do but could only get about a third of what I wanted, financially.
Exciting and also kind of anxiety inducing. Clocks ticking.

Wounds not healing, a shoulder injury that got worse over a few years (physio requested blood test that lead to diagnosis), sleep interrupted by peeing, low energy, E.D.
When I went in blood sugar was 17.5 after 12 hour fasting. They couldn’t shove medicine in me quick enough.
Hopefully caught it before I lose vision
Same character model but different hairstyles

No, you misunderstand. Sqlite just does not work when it’s packaged by Godot mono for mobile (see the ticket in the other replies)
It worked fine on desktop which made it more frustrating

It’s weird tho because everything looks like it’s there inside the apk. 🤷

It’s not just me, but seems to affect Godot c# deployments to mobile
https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/97859
Worked fine on desktop

Had to roll my own JSON storage system after spending weeks trying to get sqlite to work on Godot/android.
It took a day and will suck at scale because there are no indexes. It just goes through the whole file, line by line when you search for an id.
BUT IT WORKS.
Hopefully the repos and stuff I piled on top have made it abstract able enough I can move it to a real database if the issue ever gets resolved.

What’s the other path for this firmware being related to the update?
Maybe I’m missing something

The takeaway: Microsoft forced pre-release firmware onto millions of computers.
They’re lucky only a small percentage were damaged tbf.
Edit: on re-readinf I may have parsed this incorrectly
pre-release engineering firmware on certain SSDs, which may have been triggered by the Windows 11 updates.
It may be more like “for some reason some drives have pre-release software and the update… interacts badly with it?”

Had a best friend for 15 years or more, lived together for a few years after uni, went separate ways and contact died off
I saw him come online on steam and sent a message asking how he was etc. he said he was fine. Monosyllabic after that.
I look him up on dormant socials and he got married, didn’t mention it, no invite. Rest of the friend circle all there.
Cool cool cool.
Never hear from them either, so… it may pay off for some people, or just be an embarrassing reminder of how easy it is for some people to discard you. Neurospiciness also a factor on my side too.

My kids call me Boursin Cheese because they couldn’t pronounce my name (or chose not to)
They get what they give.
I think clip episodes are actually when the production runs out of money so they force the writers to make something very cheap. Usually at the end of a season.
There’s usually a large chasm between the good episodes and the low quality of a clip episodes, rather than a gradual decline.
