My Garmin last a month or two. Depends on the model. But it’s less smartwatchy and more health and fitness. Gps is accurate in all my tests down to about 2 feet. Takes me to and from my car in parking lots with ease. Geocaching is a breeze. Best of all the watches I’ve tried.

Garmin. Mine last 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the model. Nothing compares. Avid outdoors.
Garmin honestly makes some of the best money can buy. I’ve tried a bunch.

Finally someone was atleast trying to be helpful. I will use it for super simple business card proofs or basic brochures that’s about it. Magnets, etc.
OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•Kids are making deepfakes of each other, and laws aren’t keeping upEnglish19·5 days agoI’m fairly well versed in tech and home labbing. I’ve never heard of tools that do this, generate images, etc. Not good ones anyhow. I could use those type of generation for business marketing to develop business cards, marketing materials. NOT FOR PEOPLE GENERATION. Anyone have a list of the best tools? GPT sucks at doing this I’ve tried.
OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are the websites, articles, books or games most intellectually stimulating to you?2·5 days agoI have not heard of it but will do some preliminary studies to see about the concept. There are several types of data points for plant, algea, carbon locking and long-term co2 capture storage. How to process and deal with biomass and there’s some very mentally challenging projects you could choose to work on. I am very open to dialogue and discussion if you choose this path. I have studied it well. I am currently building a full carbon negative house. Reproducible and modern smart home not a clay hut or hippie house. Hands off, low maintenance. Perhaps we can continue if your interested.

The point is to gain the introspection and Brain chemistry changes. Micro dosing less than . 5 grams daily for short periods NOT LONGTERM, are very effective control vs SSRIs. Large mega doses are where the real changes happen. I highly recommend significant research and carrful planning if you choose this route. Safety. Trip sitters. Be safe. There has been major changes in PTSD war veterans and all sorts if mental health issues.

All is well. Hope you find the solace your looking for.
I didn’t know that. I was looking at a wyze robo vacuum. My father has one. It does a great job actually. Drives over door lips, rugs, extension cords. You name it. Only down side is you have to manually empty the container. But for 150 its worth it for light daily cleaning while everyone is out of the house.
I thought my post was encouraging you to overthink less, and was about being more positive and grounded. I guess that’s condescending and being an arm chair psychologist. The point was to not be so concerned with today’s woes/geopolitical landscape and more in tune with what’s in front of you. I read all the comments including yours in this thread. The above post just really seemed to highlight the opposite of what I aimed to speak on.
Your reply actually seemed like the condescending one. None the less. I hope you find some peace and contentness. I don’t got all the answers, but I was trying to legitimately help. Goodluck!
The chaos lol
This one post tells me enough about your mental state and life. Stop living in your head. Your head only takes you so far. Fail fast and grow, you just might make it further than you ever thought you could. Stop looking at outcomes and chessing it all out. Do.
The realist shit ever. Disconnect, unplug, walk away. Get grounded again. 15 years ago phones were just picking up. Focus on your real world in front of you life again. Stop thinking about the news, worrying about xyz. Let go and focus on the moment. Bird/animal watch.
Look at how others are psychologically dependant on tech instead of true connections. Then revel in your ability to understand and be content with not being attached as much and shifting your mind to living in reality outside of your mental rat race. Life goes on. Leave the mental gymnastics and step out of that path.
Edit: All these people saying hate, rage, spite, all the negative emotions really shows you the world consensus. None of the words their choosing are healthy. That’s indicative of their mental and physical health. Positivity has taken a back seat because negativity sells, gets clicks, views, and is socially/structurally distorted.
OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.mlto Technology@lemmy.world•LLMs factor in unrelated information when recommending medical treatmentsEnglish42·13 days agoNot entirely true. I have several chronic and severe health issues. ChatGPT provides nearly and surpassing medical advice (heavily needs re-verified) from multiple specialialty doctors. In my country doctors are horrible. This bridges the gap albeit again highly needing oversight to be safe. Certainly has merit though.
Look I know it’s not Foss and I hate it with a passion. But I had to have good gps the other day. Google maps told me the police was up ahead and like 20 or so people said the police was still there 1 minutes ago. I was like damn. Now Google tells you where the police is 😂
OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.mlto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do you think sometimes privacy practices of people at c/privacy or r/privacy communities are overparanoid or take things too far?1·13 days agoI’ve thought a lot about this. By making the choices you do you already single handedly categorized yourself. We are under so much tech behind the scenes that any move you make puts you into an analytical box, spot how you do things here or there and you have a pattern of trade craft. With trade craft you can educatedly infer the rest with probability. Exactly how they caught Osama.
Edit: Even spoofing your moves in everyway your still going to be noticed. Hiding has long been gone. Cloaking is where we are somewhere between cloaking and multiple identities.
OhVenus_Baby@lemmy.mlto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Do you think sometimes privacy practices of people at c/privacy or r/privacy communities are overparanoid or take things too far?3·13 days agoTold my older parents I use a custom ROM with a profile for work and a profile for personal and they asked me what I’m hiding, and why I’m so paranoid. I said… it’s not paranoia, it’s organization. Color coding profiles allows my mind to switch gears from work to personal life like mental compartments. I am a boring person. I have nothing to be paranoid about. They didn’t believe me. Oh well…
Edit: part of me thinks the whole mental state switching from work profile to personal is an ADHD aspect as well. Especially the color coding helps wonders.
Just returned my Linux swapped Microsoft surface pro 8 top of the line edition got a banging deal but the whole folio aspect is not as good as laptop and keyboard popping up on text boxes in Linux are stupidly hjt and miss. Returned. The slate is also really hard to hold with a sleeve for your hand type case.
