There are so many instances of this. Exploding trees killing woodcutters if trees grow into one another. Items left perpetually on the floor that can never be moved again. Military squads never returning from expeditions, forever blocking their noble spots and sometimes making it impossible to refill any positions…endless problems.

A lot of it can be fixed with DFhack but not all of it can. I am happy they are doing fresh content for the game, but I also wish they would take, like, two years to fix all the known bugs that have been in the game for several years. And while the steam version has a better interface then what was there before, it’s hardly perfect. It’s mostly just a bit more user friendly while being obtuse in new and inventive ways.

Why am I writing all this? Honestly I don’t know. I just…the game is uniquely frustrating, but so cool when it does miraculously work.

So I have a latex fetish. A lot of the AI art i am exposed to is latex art for that reason and, sadly, people who make AI art like to make shiny/latex art because it actually simplifies the image and makes the generation superficially better.

The problem is, the lighting is always all fucked up. The most important part is all fucked up and wrong, the angles are random and bad and there are random light sources, backlights and nonsensical shadows everywhere. It’s terrible to look at, feels wrong.

To me, this effect is also present on other generated images and i have kinda learned to recognize it now. Comes in handy.

But yea, what I just said about lighting and shadow you can say about every other aspect of the art as well. Too many details, details in weird places, things merging together. it’s just gibberish in the form of a picture.

And when it comes to comic,s aka art with more then one panel that is supposed to have a recognizable style and design to each aspect, this is absolute poison. A character with a robotic arm will just have a human hand in the 3rd depiction because that is how the generation went and the cretin writing the prompts didn’t care. No one in the chain knows anything about the art from and so it is bad.

I love the two laptops, nice touch. You really need two to code this hard!

Funniest shit I’ve ever seen. The Republicans didn’t need to cheat! Fucking acknowledge that the Democrats were willing patsies in getting Trump a second term, same as for the first. In German we have three genders for words, neutral, female and male. These are spread around pretty randomly:

Die Tür / The Door is female Das Auto /The Car is neutral Der Bus /The Bus is male

We also have ‘ein’ which is the equivalent of “a” in english. Ein Auto / A Car.

The difference is the same as in german, one is specific, the other more general.

I’d say that the politicians, at least the ones higher up, are captured by the people with the money, who make sure to keep them compliant by giving them bribes (both legal and illegal), as well as cushy jobs once their time in politics is over. It’s not a failure of the system, it’s capitalism working as intended.

This is true at least for the major parties like CDU and SPD in Germany. The Greens too these days, there’s very little conviction left in them. FDP is the only party that would change nothing if the bribery stopped, they are true sickos and in it for the love of the game. but with most of them, I really believe they are just cynically accepting that changing anything would be hard, while taking the money is so so very easy.

The pattern in Germany is literally identical to the US and everyone can see it, yet the same thing happens. In France as well, same shit. Both our imperialist overlord and the direct neighbor falling in the same way?! Nope, we can’t see a pattern, we gotta stay the course!
