I just want a small phone again. Wish they’d bring back the Minis

Try setting scaling back to 1x but then set font scaling to 1.25 using Gnome Tweaks. I’m running two 4k monitors this way and it’s as good as true scaling with no blur
Usually because the GNOME API has changed significantly in some way. As much as I love GNOME, they change things often enough to frequently end the life of extensions.
I’m still sad about Fildem (global menu) being killed. Although I’m not 100% sure it wasn’t just abandoned as a project tbf
It’s probably cocaine
That does seem more like their kind of style
At that point, they were also open source which was super cool. I always wanted that profile badge you got for submitting a merged PR.
Reddit really went downhill fast after ~2015. I think Lemmy will get there eventually. I remember reddit being a lot smaller back then as well. It took a while to get to the point where niche communities could thrive and I do believe we’ll see that happen here as well (even if it takes a decade or so)
Demon Souls, Bloodborne and Last of Us (before it came to PC) for me. I use my PC connected to my TV 90% of the time but the monthly games with a PS subscription are pretty nice
Sun news in Canada is generally very right wing. I’m surprised they’re even acknowledging climate change here
Kinda wish I didn’t know it had a logo. Those eyes are staring into my soul
Glad it’s working for you! :)
I’ve had issues occasionally but if you use old reddit it seems to always work. Like old.reddit.com/r/example.rss
I use an RSS reader but I’m just using it as a clunky reddit client for my city’s subreddit 😅
Any more recent Intel CPU with quicksync works well too. I have a $100 CAD i3 powering Jellyfin and it’s able to handle ~5 1080p streams going at a time without any issues.
I’ve heard sway is a drop in replacement of i3 for wayland. Only going off what I’ve heard though since I haven’t tried it myself
I had no idea BYID cards were a thing. That’s interesting though
Do you not have ID cards in your country? In Canada we have ID cards and drivers licenses that are exactly the same minus one letting you drive
There’s teams of people on the right at my company and while they’re able to build just about anything they’re asked to in wicked time, one look at their codebase makes you want to quit and become a farmer.
Unfortunately I’ve had to do work in their repos before and I would ALWAYS prefer working with someone who aims for 100% test coverage
Ctrl+A does do that though if you wanted a Ctrl way of doing it
We still have them in Canada!
I thought it was dumb too but, to be honest, I kind of prefer using “main” now. It’s quicker to type lol
