Feels like copium lmao. Putin said something here to the effect of “Would the US and EU be making connections with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham if they were still terrorists? No, didn’t think so. Therefore Russia has succeeded in its counterterrorism goals in Syria.” Which is just hilarious given how many jihadist fundamentalist organizations the US has backed up historically AGAINST RUSSIA. They’re saving face and doing realpolitik nothing more
