I always ask people how they would think about my Dog coming into their garden unsupervised, shitting and pissing all over the place, digging out flowers and fighting with other Dogs. I’m sure they would be less than thrilled and yet the same is okay for cats.

The proper solution would be to change how we finance retirement and other social costs. It should have been switched to some kind if state owned fund decades ago when this whole debacle first appeared on the far horizon. Countries like Norway do this and after decades of steady investment their fund belongs to the biggest in the whole world.

The soviets only gained the bomb through espionage, so even after they had it, they needed more time to reach a level of capability, comparable to the US before they could start ramping up their production.
