I know this isn’t ideal but I am utterly incapable of reading entire actual scientific papers, it’s a miracle when I manage to read articles like this from start to finish - which I know is an issue. Which is also why I tried to hedge my words in my original post (there seems to be evidence).

It depends on how your dislike manifests. If you just take yourself out of the equation and leave them be, that’s self-care. Telling them to stop a behaviour that they can’t help because of some disability, telling them they’re “lesser”, that’s ableist.

There seems to be evidence that ADHD brains are a few years behind in development. I think I remember it being 3 years on average? Don’t quote me, I have ADHD and my brain shouldn’t be trusted with details. Anyway, that really shouldn’t result in the kind of behaviour OP is describing though.

I never “did” anything, I just realised at some point that I didn’t think that whole business was true (apart from the bits about being nice to each other). So I stopped going through the motions that I’d been taught to follow.

My privilege here is that I live in a country that is not very religious, where any religion is done in private, and my mum, who taught me a very forgiving and kind Christianity (emphasising all the things a religious right would despise), only cared about me being a decent person, not about what I believed.

It’s not based on their views but after multiple convictions for extremist activities. That sounds reasonable (on paper) to me for now. Not that I won’t be surprised if anything useful comes of this.

They are a feature that capitalists think will be useful - of course they are ultimately meant to make you spend more money. It’s not inconceivable that means they’ll make your visit to a site more pleasant (so you’ll be likely to come back to spend more).

That said, it’s also The Thing To Do these days to put AI into everything, whether it’s actually useful or not. So whether or not any particular AI assistant will be helpful or not is anyone’s guess and you’ll have to try them to see. Any AI assistant I’ve interacted with has been decidedly less than helpful and just barfed up what information I could’ve found more easily on my own.
