Strange competition as well. Let’s see a person outrun a car for 13 miles. There already Jaguars driving hundreds of thousands of miles more carefully than humans are. Why are we forcing them to be bipedal? Person in race vs a smart missile. Missile makes it to another continent before the person makes anywhere near that. Drones are flying around without need of human guidance. Computers are faster at just about everything and always will be. There’s a reason we make phone calls or emails instead of sending a letter.

Haven’t read up on much of it, just remembered it in passing.

To do so for the first time in the US. Goes on to explain how the factories are already up and running producing units.
I also know there are other partners not listed in the article producing Nvidia based servers used for AI for Google, Meta, and others.
Source: I diagnose errors/issues for the assembled server racks and confirm they can pass stress tests and such. They are built on an assembly line in the same factory.

Nah, he wanted to modify what was being said. He blocked and oppressed views he didn’t like. It was never free speech. It was always oppression.

LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•After 50 million miles, Waymos crash a lot less than human driversEnglish14·1 month agoHow long ago was that? Last year I took a couple near Phoenix and they did great, lights or no. The hardest part was dropping me off at the front of a hotel, as people were in and out and cars were everywhere. Still didn’t have issues, just slowed down to 3mph when it had 15 years left or so

LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.worldto Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•MAGARegrets is Trending!English1·1 month agoI just wish these people would start a giant class action lawsuit against Fox and other media outlets that distorted, promoted, and openly lied about what his campaign promises and words were and meant. I would find it hard to believe they couldn’t give enough evidence to a judge that those media companies intentionally pushed false narratives that ultimately promoted racism, sexism, and the like. When you have just about every expert in economics that say tariffs are taxes that will cost the everyday consumer more money, and they are going out of their way to find and or pay one that doesn’t agree with the majority and reporting it as news it can’t be misconstrued as anything other than manipulation. Economics isn’t opinion, it’s math for the most part. “He’s bringing down your taxes! What about the other taxes he’s putting on us? Those aren’t taxes! They are negotiations” hogwash.
If I were Prince Andrew I’d be suing them for defimation of some kind as well. 100s of times they have brought up Epstein recently on Fox and conservative media and keep calling attention to the possibility/likelyhood that Andrew is involved. Yet far more information about Trump’s involvement is there and even though that is the person who holds the Presidency of the country they are reporting on all day, not someone who lives overseas and has no impact on your life and never will, they are pointing at him over and over and over. Is Andrew guilty? Maybe, probably. Is Trump guilty, well he’s already paid hush money for it once.
It was a huge ordeal when the U.S. tried to get a U.S. citizen back who smoked weed in Russia. When the U.S. tries to get back someone raping and trafficking minors, they tried to just brush it off. I heard about that athlete who had pot for weeks.
LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Under Trump, AI Scientists Are Told to Remove ‘Ideological Bias’ From Powerful ModelsEnglish201·2 months agoDidn’t the AI that Musk currently owns say there was like an 86% chance Trump was a Russian asset? You’d think the guy would be smart enough to try to train the one he has access to and see if it’s possible before investing another $200 billion in something. But then again, who would even finance that for him now? He’d have to find a really dumb bank or a foreign entity that would fund it to help destroy the U.S.
How did your last venture go? Well the thing I bought is worth about 20% of what I bought it for… Oh uh… Yeah not sure we want to invest in that.

Then reach out to the government for subsidies to put these protections in place. Then give bonuses, stock buy backs and when it happened again, they’d raise the fees installed previously and consider making the upgrades if the fine threatened is high enough, if not they’ll pay the fine and buy back more stock and run an ad campaign to make the company look better.

My guess was the play is simple there, if he didn’t do exactly what Trump wanted, the DOJ could bring charges and put him in prison for years and end his career. Thankfully some people saw through it, yet not enough to pressure for the charges to be taken up and followed through on.

At the end of the day I have to see it as conservatives have ideals that do not align with mine, but MAGA is a group that believes that their ideals matter more than the people’s freedoms. They believe tearing apart a representative democracy is fine, so long as their ideology prospers at the moment, but it is VERY short sighted as their ideology isn’t why the leaders of MAGA is reforming it. Once they have reformed it the conservatives who supported MAGA will no longer have much say in anything, their votes won’t matter. The oligarchs will decide what size rations they/we deserve, and we all know those rations are shrinking and shrinking.

Well some products will go down at first, the ones they can’t sell to other countries any more the supply will skyrocket until they cut production to reduce their losses. So perishable things like certain food, will possibly decrease for a season, then will go up higher/possibly “sky rocker” as when you produce less your profits are lower, so they will have to mark them up / some people will just stop farming. The possibility of the bees dying out seems more worrisome than the tarrifs long term though for many foods.
