I eat relatively healthy, and I stretch well more-or-less every day, but to be honest that’s about it.
I would like to smoke less and drink less - they aren’t issues in that sense, I’m just getting older and it’s obviously getting worse for and harder on my body. I also need to get back to the gym or something, it’s been years 😅 it’s just hard to find time with kids and a demanding job, and I haven’t prioritized it.
Money doesn’t fix trauma, and childhood trauma is rarely fully healed. The kids did nothing wrong, and you should feel bad for them.
Has the Starbucks guy actually been confirmed as the same person? It looked like clearly a different jacket and backpack, I assumed that was either an accomplice or just an unfortunate lookalike, but I suppose he could have changed or it could just be odd lighting tricks.

The same way you be a “good religious person” - don’t fucking proselytize. It’s your choice, and that’s great, but you don’t need to force it onto others.
Conventional medicine, because it actually works and has a basis in reality.
You could argue that, sure, but their defense of that has already been established and accepted - effectively that the “town square” cannot be liable for the speech of people in it… but if Twitter fully owns all accounts, then the people in the square ARE twitter.
If X owns all of the accounts, then it sounds like they should be liable for all of the speech from those accounts. I hope people jump on this.
Her 2018 album hit #8 in 3 different countries 🤷♂️ that’s neither a decade nor anything remotely akin to failure.
…you’re joking, right? It’s one of our main exports.
I’m not afraid of Trump’s competence. I’m afraid of Trump’s cult of personality and the competent people that are now handling him. We didn’t elect Trump, we elected Project 2025.
Home row is absolutely still taught as the “correct” way to type. Source: kids are in elementary school
…20 minutes? I must be missing a reference.
VS Code slow and bloated? Someone hasn’t been spending nearly enough time in IntelliJ
So we’ve led our horses to water, but how do we make them drink?
“We’ve led the horse to water” is just “it’s not literally illegal to own?” OK.
A climate change denier will head of the EPA.
A vaccine denier will be our Health Secretary.
An oil exec will head the Department of Energy.
Trump has been vocally pro-book bans in the past, and the modern GOP has never been against it, and has even been doing it at an increasing rate over the past few years.
These are people that are happy to remove other people that disagree with them. You really don’t think they’re going to remove books and papers? lol
This was the case for so many veggies for me… my parents were not amazing cooks. Spinach was the worst, just a big slimy pile, but now I love it.
The Lemmy speed bump? I don’t think it gets a name until it’s something that can actually happen 😅
