Bro, they sell the DM and Stories on Snapchat to be private “if you decide so”. They do separate private Stories (that supposedly are only shared with people you whitelist) and public Stories, and the same with DM. I know as I have used Snapchat back in 2021, before I got heavily interested in privacy. Maybe some things have changed, but they do still sell, promote and do marketing stuff telling that it is private. Yeah, we do know it’s false, but trust me that marketing can be a powerful force.
