It depends.
You don’t want to write Java or kotlin in a text editor and gather the terminal commands for compiling and stuff when you could use an ide for that.
However there is not much difference writing C in an editor and compile it with make than using an ide. But in both cases I would prefer an ide.
The only reason why I would not use one is when there are incompatibilities or other special setups that make using an ide more work than an editor
Yeah bash is sth that doesn’t require an ide, but I usually have intellij already open so it helps me with bash too.
You can code in a text editor. It is cumbersome and annoying, but possibly.
You should however use a good ide if you want to be productive

You open settings and search for scroll speed
The problem on my side was that for some reason the speed for my mouse was always too slow. 10 scrolls for one page.
This is sth. That can work on 90% of all mice out there and not for some. So you should always have it costumizeable

One little task that I tried on several DE. Try to change the scroll speed in the file explorer (dolphin for kde)
I had no DE except KDE where I just could go into the settings and change the value.
Afaik for cinnamon I need to recompile the whole thing.

I don’t know about problems with immigrants specifically (except the police claims more crimes from immigrants but denies a check of their own crimes)
However I notice the hate against foreigners is increasing. The hate goes against people that look like they don’t belong to Germany.

In reality we have so much immigrantion we don’t have a “pure German” population anymore and everyone who claims otherwise is an idiot and often a nazi.
In big cities you often don’t have issues with being an immigrant since you aren’t the only one. In the rural areas the people might be more sceptical or racist.
Tbf x11 also regularly crashes when I use suspend and start the pc again, but it recovers quickly.
Wayland did however just crash.
What I can try is to use a new profile. KDE Plasma has often issues with existing configs somehow.
Well that is easy.
I select Plasma(Wayland) on the login screen and use my pc. Then the Desktop environment will crash after some hours. With it the Internet config (local lan was still working?)
It was all weird.
I was trying out Wayland yesterday.
It crashed kde multiple times.
Switched back to x11
The language is as important as architecture and stuff.
Pick the right language for the right task.
Performance? Don’t use python.
Everything else? Use python because everyone does.

The thing is. Replacing humans with robots should never be a bad thing. We should work less and have the same living standards.
However our world is currently setup so that without a job you suck. Even in civilised countries where you still have access to health care and support from the government so you don’t starve to death or have to leave your house.
We need to improve the quality of live for the job less so that layoffs aren’t a bad thing anymore.
Also if you can live without working the average pay check will raise.
I must strongly say that I, who am a person of short words and on the other there is this that also we need to talk about. But one must acknowledge the importance of the process and the situation, which we all know has to improve, but everyone has to his and her part. This and many other things has to be said.
