SneakerNet will still exist, so your friends can download different stuff each and transfer it over a local network, or a flash drive. Different people might connect their own local networks to facilitate ease of communication, and boom, you have an internet again. By its very nature of being decentralised, the internet is very difficult to shut down completely.

Same with adults who have a sexual attraction to children. They didn’t choose to be like that, and if they make sure to not act on those impulses, they shouldn’t be demonized. Conversion therapy has been demonstrated not to work, but if there’s any way they can receive help with their impulses rather than condemnation and vitriol, that seems it would be more helpful.

Addicted means it’s a bad thing. Did people used to be addicted to A-Zs, reading, talking to friends, reading news, etc?
