What I never understand is, do the billionaires not care about their own children? Or tbh even themselves at this point as it’s happening so fast even they will be affected (although they can probably mitigate the effects by moving to one of their 500 houses that’s in a safe zone)

How fucking expensive is stuff over there!?

With questions along the lines of: “You approach a zebra crossing with 2 pedestrians on it, do you:”
A) Honk your horn
B) Wait for them to cross
C) Run them over
D) Get out and rugby tackle them to the ground

Developers accidentally create new issues while trying to fix old ones. Politicians purposely create new issues while avoiding fixing the old ones

Is there a way to disable this? I still need to use Windows sometimes

Why upload with Nextcloud instead of with Immich directly?

Yeah I’d almost say the 2020s are the best defined era, everything literally changed overnight.
Unfortunately 99.9999999999999999999% of Android users don’t care and won’t even notice this happen

I’ve never really felt the need to block anyone (except the odd spam bot but I don’t think that counts). I think that might be because I pretty much exclusively browse my subscribed feed which means I basically only see posts that interest me, and I find any bad comments are usually heavily downvoted anyway. And its rare enough that I just ignore it.

Oh wow I didn’t know heatpumps were that much better

True but I guess the idea with this is we’re going to use servers anyway, might as well make use of the heat

I’ve often thought about this, if you’re actually using the waste heat from a PC does that mean its basically 100% energy efficient?
This seems like a really cool idea, although I’m not quite sure what happens in the summer when all this compute power gets shut off

Can’t you also do that with grub?

So glad these age verification laws are keeping people safe

Install Windows - does updates as part of the installation process. Get to desktop and check for updates - more updates to install. Reboot and check for updates again - yet more updates.
The average person wasn’t even worried or indeed aware of this to begin with
Why has RAM suddenly got so expensive? We’ve been chasing this AI shit for the last 3/4 years and GPUs etc have been expensive the whole time, but somehow RAM has been ok until literally the last couple of weeks?
