That was a real “no harm no foul” situation. Years later i went on a 3 month holiday and never came back. Everyone but me and my then girlfriend realised i was just moving overseas. This is of course correct. But the fact remains that more privileged workers are more likely to support the system and sell out other workers. As a group, privleged workers display different behaviour than other workers and tend to share similar priorities - which is very similar to a class. It’s a distinction that’s both completely illusory and also meaningful.

I miss so much food from China. Stumbling home drunk and getting fried rice cooked over one of those intense burners that sound like a jet engine. All the 烧烤 was incredible. And in 云南 the 傣菜 was always so special. 🤤
