There are healthier ways to stay informed. Doomscrolling has a tendency to cause intense emotions that probably aren’t very helpful during a time when staying focused is important. People shouldn’t ignore what’s happening. Instead, they should try to fix the problem. Unnecessary anxiety and fear is just counterproductive.

If you allow minorities to be oppressed, it will eventually lead to the oppression of larger minorities. Eventually, they’ll also find a reason to come after you as well. Maybe it’s the freckles, or pizza toppings or political opinions. Either way, oppression has a tendency to expand.

It’s serious, so you should act accordingly. Stay strong. Just participate and influence your future. Use whatever means you are comfortable with.

If the situation really is that bad, you’ll hear about it without any doomscrolling. If you don’t come across a topic in normal casual conversations or by reading papers in a library, it’s probably not actually that urgent.

Seems like USA is going to fade to irrelevancy, and Trump is speedrunning that game. Even if a sane politician gets elected next time, the damage has already been done. The rest of the world is already moving along without America.

You could find an area with an “oppressed” French minority, and start by stirring an uprising in there. Once the pot begins to boil, try adding some French commando forces in disguise.

Yeah definitely in a WW2 Germany there were plenty of people who just decided to go with the flow. I think that most people who nowadays get labeled nazis are mostly hard core racists. The number of passive supporters and collaborators is probably rather small by comparison.

If EU did that, it would probably result in equal retaliation. It would mean that all patents and IP would become local. Stealing these things from others continents would become fair game, which would make patents and IP almost completely pointless.
