Haha, it’s all good.
Hey now, don’t knock our infrastructure. KC’s in good shape and we even have free public transportation.
I honestly don’t know. That’s just what I saw. Maybe they were running from it.
It’s wild to consider until you realize that several European cities have literal pee stations on walking paths and it’s not weird to whip it out and do your business completely uncovered.
It’s great fun. I hope you like it as much as I do.
A few.
I was in San Juan once and, walking back to my cruise ship, saw a van jump a curb, slam into a police vehicle, and then the driver hopped out and jumped off the pier into the ocean.
The first time I visited Los Angeles and saw literal garbage piled 2-3 feet high on public sidewalks. In the days after I saw the tent cities. (I’m from Kansas City, where garbage is very well managed and tent cities are a rarity.)
I once saw a very tall, dark shape in the woods getting chased by cows. It might have been Bigfoot. It might have been a bear or a deer that reared up on its hind legs. It was too far away for me to say for sure.
Nope.
I only have it so people from other roller derby leagues can get in contact with me. That’s the only reason.
You know, I’m not a huge Billie Eilish fan, but when she performed the Christmas episode on SNL last year I fell in love with her Christmas renditions.
Also love Haley Reinhart’s rendition of Santa Baby. Very jazzy and fun.
The world of the Tapestry series, by Henry Neff.
It’s Potter-esque, except darker and more complex. Plus there’s a great epilogue book set 1000 years into the future after the first series concluded.
Doesn’t hurt that Neff is a wonderful person on top of being an amazing writer.
My parents are in their 80’s and while I can say I love some version of them, they didn’t save anything for retirement, and therefore, are a massive burden on me and my siblings.
In my mind the versions of them I loved are already gone. I’m just doing what I can to help them live well until they pass away because if the roles were reversed, I’d want them to do the same for me.
making the government work for us to keep capitalism in check.
lol
All we elect are capitalists.
It speaks to how powerless people feel here in America.
That’s what it says.
There’s also udm14.com if you want to have cheeky fun with it.

This dude has endangered way more people than drag queens and trans folks.

I have very few regrets in life, so something like that wouldn’t affect me too much.
The video that scared me the most was a documentary about Robert Ben Rhoades, and let me be clear, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST looking him up. He was a serial killer who had a modified dungeon in the cab of his truck, which he used to torture and kill people. His story stuck with me for a couple of reasons: the manner in which he was caught, which in and of itself is a terrifying story, and the fact that there are photos on the Web that he took of his victims moments before death, and for me, that’s just something that stuck with me.
Even his mugshot is ghastly. The guy looks like he stepped out of a horror movie.
Here in the US, whether or not you succeed in life can be largely determined by your zip code of birth.
Seems pretty unfair to me.
