I saw an exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum several years ago of unreleased Marilyn Monroe photos, some of which had a big red (transparent) X over them, indicating that she’d asked the photographer not to print or distribute them.
I know how my paintings look when they’re unfinished, and I’d hate for them to be on display in a state that I didn’t want seen.
All of the money spent on this event feels incredibly vulgar, given the planet-wide suffering of the poor and workers, and child genocide happening right under their noses.
It reminds me of the opening scenes of the Hunger Games.

We’ve heard this shit over and over in the ten years since Trump became a candidate. Violence is who we are, and it doesn’t suddenly become inappropriate because Trump got a smidgen of his comeuppance.
These sorts of books are great fun. I have one of Guns n Roses and KISS. Now that both bands are either done or way past their prime, it’s nice to pull those books out and take a walk through my memories.

While I’m skeptical anything would come of it, I’ve made it a ritual to wait for the $20 ticket sale every year because the fees have gotten so insane.

They are AMAZING live. Got to see them a few years ago with Halestorm and Lilith Czar.

What’s even better: There doesn’t seem to be any streaming service that treats artists fairly.
Always a fun show when you see this band!
