More than enough that I prefer not to look until spring, mainly phone and IPad for work and then home entertainment. It was 12-13 hours when I was an office worker. Probably closer to 9 now but prefer much less

As the pre-made version yes. It’s available as the concentrate in glass jars, so you can mix it with your own seltzer as more of a “fresh” carbonated soda

Ayy a local that’s here on Lemmy gotta love it. Was actually going to mention Boost! from south Jersey. I’ve seen it randomly in store while I was down in Florida in a neighborhood nearby that was full of the retired Jersey shore residents that come down for the winter. Its not something I’d personally drink but know a good amount of people that love it. Probably never took off since the name is the exact same as the protein drink while being a complete opposite lol
For those unaware it’s an OG soda from over 100 years ago. Soda pharmacies and diners were THE hang out spots in rural South Jersey back then and the roots still remain:

Got a Moto G Stylus about a month ago, great phone so far. Selling point for me was the micro sd card slot and the headphone jack but it seems so far as an overall great device. Only issue I’ve come across is the light sensor takes a bit to let it focus when scanning or codes, which is something I do daily but is an extra like 5 seconds per scan attempt compared to my Samsung S22 ultra, which got replaced since it can only charge wireless now

They like this until he accidentally leaks something classified like the idiots that would upload their “Day in the life of” videos typing in pincodes and passwords and the wrong person sees it or goes back to see it an old video. Some horrible long term thinking for a software security team to allow

Given the example and you mentioning should not be dating at your ages, are we sure these people actually are the “17 year old guy” and not either creeps of funnels to get people looking for people those ages? Your friends should try is possible to look more in person within school than strangers on whatever app/site they are using.
To answer your question though, some people don’t consider there being much of a connection online and there being the entire city as your potential options that ghosting isn’t looked at as an issue on their end as they were never commited enough to the conversation to begin with. There are a lot of bots as well so there may have never been a person there you’re talking to. I personally hate the apps but am actively looking to date and its a unsettlingly common experience to get ghosted after meeting someone I’m person once or twice as there testing the waters in their eyes or looking for a happy ending so I’d rather just use them sparingly.

There’s many other things to try than looking at liposuction. Please talk to a doctor, and if that doctor recommends liposuction without trying to address why your feeling addicted to food then try another doctor, at least 3 opinions before a surgery like that. You may have a legit addiction to certain chemical reactions within certain foods like some do with the doritos powder, or you could have a deficiency which may make you crave lets say extremely fatty foods when it’s really one of the micronutrients that your body is craving that’s from said food that’sin a low quantity. Every body is different. An example I get dehydrated kinda easily regardless of the amount of water I drink while also not feeling that thirsty that leads random spasms that make me realize Im dehydrated. That issue is from salt regulation so I have to add salt to my water or drink those European high mineral content waters. Dad and granddad have the same issue so it’s genetic.

This feels like it’ll go the HBO Max, wait Max, no HBO Max, dibocal route
Most discussion about US politics isn’t discussion sadly so it just turns into either arguing or a circle jerk of hating a specific person/place/thing. Most “news” isn’t even news here, it’s opinion segments. I agree it should stay in its own section to an extent since people can’t tell the difference of what’s news and what’s opinion when reacting.

African American male. Growing up it was the “Man up” “no one cares” and all of that negative talk.when trying to be open I still express feelings and emotion but I do limit it depending on who I’m around, and those people are very rare for me to want to be around longer than a small talk catch up while passing by

DDG still does top ranking of advertisers even though they aren’t directly targeted to you. Kagi puts the most relevant information to your search regardless to what it is you search. You’re also able to uprank and downrank different sites you want to see more or less of in your searches. For example if you’re someone who looks up a lot of medical terms for work or something you can completely block sites like WebMD from taking over the results making it harder to find more relevant information to it. Not my exact use case but have been a Kagi user for probably 8 months now and it’s 100% worth it for the rankings as well as Kagi Translate since it has a proofread feature that replaces Grammarly for me as a dyslexic that has to write a lot of emails.

With another AI talk to try to hype up consumers in the article, I wouldn’t be surprised this thing is pretty much like a Chromebook that has to call servers to do much things… Still sticking to older tech

Search engine, Kagi for parents. You can customize it to just kid friendly results for them so they never see all of the easily manipulative links out there on nearly every other search engine. Similar to the OG Google experience of the early 2000s, but way more relevant and way more helpful as a service to find anything/everything of child curiosity that’s child appropriate.

Day trips yes, including overnight costs then that’s gotta be saved up for.

Same, worked for a nonprofit for 7 of my 12 adult years that rented space to 2 schools (small high school and a daycare/preschool) within their buildings and we had our own services after session. Wasn’t directly involved with the teaching for the schools but did maintain all the computers for students and teachers while having a small program training a couple of the teens to manage a repair shop fixing those computers. That provided more satisfaction than any other job since, even though I will still hate Roblox with a passion on how much like a virus it acts to whatever it gets installed to, I’d do it again if the opportunity was open, but it was a unique deal between the three.

Its a dating app that’s turned into a hookup app
Self defense in middle school. I was awkward for at least 2 years due to some life events (bipolar mom that kicked me out of not being g perfect in school, forced to move with dad that did not know how to psrent and didn’t finish middle school himself) Great in class but it took a while to start interacting with all the new people I’m meeting. Ended up leading to a few fights from some of them associated with a gang and police were involved since it was “zero tolerance” never got charged since the teachers would request the footage so I wouldn’t get charged for the mess but it was stressful. High school was with the same kids, at least half of them didn’t graduate
