Unless you see it coming via unofficial means which is not uncommon in large companies. When the same department roles are advertised in bulk in different countries for example, restructuring like this is rarely done en masse so when one department goes, people start to wonder if they’re next and do some digging.

As a guy currently going through a divorce, I see it very differently to how I did before she left. Previously I saw it as a public commitment and celebration of love, and making vows to each other. Now I see it as a bullshit waste of time and money. I was cynical before (not religious, didnt see muxh point) but went through with it because it was something she wanted.

Gaming. It has completely replaced flatscreen gaming for me. Playing FPS on a screen feels so ridiculous to me now.

I recently lost out on some work (big retouching job) due to AI, when the client came back to me to fix the huge mess, it turned out the job had just been farmed out to India by the ‘AI’ company. They weren’t even using a recent Photoshop version so were actually using less ‘AI’ than any pro retoucher would.

Shooting weddings is uniquely draining, physically and mentally. 16 hours on your feet carrying weighty kit, putting your body in awkward positions to get the right angle, needing to stay hyper alert so you don’t miss the perfect shot, constantly thinking ahead, all with the added pressure to not fuck things up. I’ve done some really gruelling location work with even longer days but weddings are always the hardest.
