For fuck’s sake.
For fuck’s sake.
I’m actually shocked by how people are acting about this.
You see, it’s actually a really bad thing to ban devs from an open source project based on nationality over all else. “Oh, but they are state actors!!!” How do you know? Because they are Russian?
How is this keeping to open source philosophies in any way?
“No, you can’t work on this, you’re Russian.”
I don’t support the Russian Government or its actions in any way, but these devs are probably not part of it. They maintain drivers for fucking ASUS hardware.
I’m getting a gaming PC soon because I want to use VR and while I do want to primarily use Linux, I will be keeping a Windows install for it.
A gaming PC is also not something that anyone needs, but I want to own one and I want to play VR games on it. Your point is not as good as you think.
That is ridiculous. I love Monster Hunter, but if that happened to me I would instantly refund the game.
That’s just straight up a scam
Yet another reason to never use Chrome
Just swap from Chrome, it’s not gonna change your life to use Firefox
Well, they can go fuck themselves.
Yeah, from what I know only SteamVR really works at all and not that well. Given that I probably can’t afford a Valve Index or a HTC Vive Pro2, I’ll use Windows for VR with a Meta Quest 3. My main OS would probably be Garuda Linux.
I’ll still be sticking to a dual-boot when I get a new PC, mainly for VR.
It was a PS1 emulator and one of the best ones. Shame about the developer.
There are Linux mobile operating systems like PostmarketOS, but they are too early in development to be used by most people.
Nothing. It sounds like it only affects a very small number of people, but the general public has no need to worry.
most of Boeing’s own employees who literally put the fucking planes together said that they wouldn’t fly on these planes themselves
Jesus Christ.
VR is literally the only reason my next PC will still have Windows.
🖕
They are developing a game at the moment, Deadlock. Lots of footage and a dev build leaked a few months ago.
What are EA doing with Valve? The lawsuit this came from is between Wolfire Games and Valve; far as I can tell, Valve and EA work together on some stuff.
All you need is a couple of USB-C ports and maybe a HDMI port on most modern laptops. More is good but not a requirement.
