Oh so they’re just straight up including malware with windows now. Cool.

Same honestly. Like it was a hunk of junk that didn’t work half the time, but I think people kinda forget that the scope was pretty ambitious. Being able to scan people’s bodies and get each limb’s position in 3D, and to do so in many different lighting conditions and room setups, is stuff we still barely have working today even with AI.
Like don’t get me wrong, the tech was jank as fuck, but as a kid it was genuinely really cool.
Technically linux users need third party tools to even boot into a usable OS.
I’m a computer engineering major (still a student tbf), I’m well aware of the difference between CISC and RISC, I was making a joke.
Also, I understand your point, but you should know though that a load-store architecture and a RISC instruction set are not the same thing. The vast majority of RISC ISAs are load-store, but not all load-store architectures are RISC.
At this point ARM is a CISC architecture
AI is a marketing term, the association is a deliberate choice by companies trying to market “the future”
I’m a zoomer and honestly I had no problems with it. I only failed the Michael Cera one because I didn’t notice one of the images had a secret hidden Michael Cera
I have never really seen arch or gentoo unironically pitched to new users. However, I have seen new users try to use arch because they didn’t get the joke.
Yes but to a lesser extent. The name Twitter doesn’t sound like it’s trying to be “cool internet thing” as much as X
I don’t get why he’s so stubborn on X dot com being a thing. Especially since when I hear dot com I think of the 90s or early 2000s, and specifically the dot com bubble.
x.social or x.net sound way cooler tbh.
That’s SCSS, cheater!
I see more posts complaining about annoying arch users than I actually see annoying arch users
That being said, hell yeah mint
Vinyls break easily and sound kinda meh, even with decent equipment. CDs have fairly good quality and are easy to store and handle. Honestly I get why people like vinyl, big discs are fun and tinkering with analog stuff is its own hobby, but when it comes to collecting I prefer CDs.
Can’t think of the most difficult problem, but I have managed to solve a lot of problems with btrfs snapshots.
VR pretty much just worked for me with my vive. Had some issues with weird stuttering and tearing but I managed to find a solution in some config file.
For the longest time I just thought he was that one guy from modern family.
I do actually need nvidia for blender since AMD raytracing support is still a work in progress for it.
As soon as it’s stable, works on linux, and a mid-range AMD card performs as well as my 3060 though I’m absolutely jumping to AMD.
I didn’t know that. Maybe nvme hasn’t been added to the standard yet then.
This has the same vibes as gamestop starting an nft marketplace.
