Looks like stale communities are already closed and deleted, at least here on lemmy.world. Popped into a community I ran but set to “no new posts” a few years ago, and all the old posts are gone. Which is OK by me.

I’ve avoided Facebook for so long, the idea that it’s required as part of an ‘education system’ bewilders me. Wow.

All I know about Cracker Barrel is the company’s history of racism, like this from 2004:

If I’d given it any thought, I might have assumed the company’s shittiness was in the past, but this right-wing uproar over re-designed branding, with the frickin’ President of the United States demanding they switch back to the old logo, and the company’s quick acquiescence, convinces me Cracker Barrel is a restaurant for fascists.

This article has been written so many times, by so many conservatives. They’re always enthusiastic about fucking everyone over, until it’s themselves or their family.

Someone should make a website, with all these hundreds of articles collected in one place. Maybe someone has?

I’d like the ability to block users when I stumble over an imbecile while browsing, but I still need to see the blocked user’s comments in groups that I moderate.

At present, user blocks are absolute, and don’t take moderation into consideration. This means, since I moderate a group, I can’t block users. If I do, and they later post to the group I moderate, I won’t see their posts or comments.

My brother just had his prostate removed, can’t eat or leave his apartment for a week, and he’ll probably never have a full-on erection again. My wife had to do dialysis three days a week, which left her weak and ruined after every session. A friend of mine is in pain 24/7, and has been for decades.

I am the luckiest fucker on earth, to have good health, and I’ve never done a damned thing to deserve it. For 50 years I ate almost nothing but crap food, and I’m flabby and never exercise.

Ain’t no justice in this life. Ain’t much life if you don’t have your health.

What is it lacking?

This is shit journalism. Yeah, his name is Trump so he’s probably an asshole, but he’s living his life, which has no impact on your life or mine. He’s a private citizen, and his alleged assholery is not a public matter.

Dude doesn’t quite connect the dots. The government — under Biden — had a deal to save his farm. The government — under Trump — is changing all the rules, reneging on the contract. If all he groks from this is “government bad,” then game over. Except it’s not a game.
