But as I said, I doubt if it will increase the overall hits for Wikipedia or be a last straw for people hesitating to use the site
Why the fuck do you think accessibility is about increasing hits?

Ah, well, if you can’t imagine it, then all those people with visual impairments who haven’t been able to read the content previously simply must not exist! 🙄🤦♀️
Oh wow, finally!
One of their main MO’s is projection and trying to claim victimhood where there is none, it’s part of the playbook…
This one specifically is also an antisemitic dog whistle - capitalists and rulers have, for millennia, substituted themselves in the view of the world they feed the masses for Jewish people, so the media, Hollywood, the music industry, “bankers” (the financial establishment), “the elite”, all those who have power over our society and their mouthpieces, that way they don’t have to work as hard manipulating the plebs’ view of the system - yes, these are all existing systems that serve a small group of very privileged people, but “no, it isn’t us, the uber wealthy, it’s those dirty Jews, go grab your torches!” *stroke mountain of money they’re sat on*
so why has the media chosen to ignore Trump falling asleep at the Republican convention?
Because they’re on his side. Seriously, that this needs spelling out at this point is truly fucking depressing…
I chose to believe he is being honest about why he cancelled the tour, and it wasn’t because “I agree with my buddy, and we’re going to stay out of the limelight for a short minute to stay safe”, but because “my buddy wants a fascist dead, and I can’t be seen to agree”.
I also find it fucking hilarious that people seriously think anyone is going to target this guy (or that he doesn’t already have/ can’t afford security), when there are significantly bigger targets out ther.
I can understand a minimum wage worker not risking their livelihood over expressing antifascist sentiment in the workplace, but that doesn’t apply to a well known multi-millionaire with a large global platform.
He is saying loud and clear - his millions and his fame, only one of which he is at risk of losing over expressing his opinion (E: and even then, he’d get plenty of notoriety to replace it if he actually found some self respect), are more important to him than taking a stand against fascism.
This makes my blood boil.
It’d be bad enough if it was just any random person, but being disabled myself, I know far too well how difficult, to practically impossible, it can be to find a place that isn’t only suitable to live in, but where the landlords will even consider you in the first place instead of instantly putting your application in the reject pile because you or someone in your household is disabled (both of which result in a high rate of homelessness among disabled people).
There are so many different and equally distressing levels of heinous to this bullshit, from misogyny to ableism, to classism, to just plain old wilful ignorance and cruelty.
People like this civil servant should spend their time being eternally grateful to not be in such a position as this mother is, since they wouldn’t survive a fucking hour in her shoes.
FUCK
Like I said, I don’t criticise anyone for using the service, and the more affordable it is, the better, but trust that they are definitely not working at a loss, in the same way supermarkets, that would probably still charge less for the same items, do - by making you believe they’re selling to you at just about what it costs them to get by, when they are selling it to you for significantly more.
Except they’re selling you the kit at waaaay over cost in the first place, so they’re still making money off of you. I promise you they are aware of the “glitch”, and are not ignoring it out of the kindness of their hearts.
(not criticising you for using the service, if it works for you go for it and get those discounts, but don’t let them manipulate you in to thinking you’ve got one over on them, they 100% account for this kind of thing and are still making money)
That sucks. I had an issue at first with it only giving the option for android even though I’m on pc, but eventually I managed to get it right, I think there was another sub menu or something, I can’t remember exactly since it was a few months ago now… If that’s not it, I guess give some of the other options given here a try?
I got annoyed by something similar (E: also a google sign in pop up, in the same spot, though looks a little different than yours) not too long ago and found this worked:

What is happening now is the system self correcting. It was designed to concentrate immense power in the hands of a select, corrupt, few, all we’re seeing now is the illusions they’ve piled on to that slowly dissolve as they no longer need to keep up pretences.
It’s no longer the case that everyone in America is equal under the law.
Is there a “never has been” version of the “always has been” meme?
Them taking the mask off and being open about it is serious and dangerous don’t get me wrong, but lets not pretend the law is, or ever was written nor administered equally - filthy rich and powerful white men in particular have always put themselves above it.
America’s big problem is not Joe Biden, it’s the menace to democracy posed by Donald Trump
It’s neither, the problem is the illusion that we call democracy, and the compromises we (the people, not the rulers, of course) are told we have to make in order to maintain it (AKA the status quo) despite it being designed to keep us down (again, by providing an illusion of choice) rather than serve us.
As another person already said - trump is just a symptom, it is the system that enables and encourages his existence, and it is the system that needs to be abolished if the working class is to ever have a shot at justice, equity, and equality.
Articles like this are acts of systemic self defence - deflection to keep us looking at the illusion instead of the reality.
No, they really fucking don’t, privilege and the sense of entitlement it gives do.
Like seriously, beyond the bullshit that is scapegoating mental illness because it’s easier than facing reality, that’s literally not how depression works, nor “mental illness” in general, especially when you consider that mentally ill people are significantly more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrate it.
Stop perpetuating this lazy counterproductive bullshit.
