I think that Russophobia is not a cause, but just ad-hoc ideological justification for attempting to swallow the former Soviet Union.

I think it is not Russophobia, but that they gambled that Russia would quickly collapse and they would get a share of spoils, and this didn’t work out.

My point is that all of those people should be shot not because of their ethnic background (real or imagined), but because they are self-serving exploiters. You can also look at people like Pinchuk (Ukrainian) or Akhmetov (Tatar), and they are just as shitty. You can’t fix Ukrainian problems by trying to get ethnically pure exploiter class. The exploiter class is itself a problem.

Let’s not pretend that ethnic Russians and Ukrainians in both Ukraine and Russia are somehow less corrupt.
