The only deflection is pretending that what is happening in Gaza is Biden’s idea and not a continuation of 70 years of policy held by both parties.

Democrats do not reject political plurality.
Democrats do not reduce democracy (rather they increase it by defending voting rights).
Democrats protect the separation of powers, civil liberties, and the rule of law.
Democrats do not fit the definition of nationalism, let alone ultranationalism.
They do not hold strong beliefs in hierarchy, oppose democracy, or oppose egalitarianism. That’s just an outright lie.
Let’s go with Umberto Eco’s definition since it is well known and it is numbered for easy reference.

The only part that might apply to Democrats is #6.
The system as it stands does not support third parties and Democrats are the only hope we have of changing that system without massive bloodshed and suffering.
Trump and his fascist goons are worse. Period. End of discussion.
You really should look up the definition of fascist, because you are using it wrong.
One side are literal fascists and the other is not. Nothing else matters compared to that.

I would argue a community can decide their membership, but society is a collection of communities and cannot decide their membership. Otherwise you end up with theocracies and/or racial supremacist states.
I think immigration laws are inherently a violation of universal human rights. What is a more basic expression of freedom and liberty than being able to choose where in the world to build your life?
2·29 days agoI understand that they probably don’t want to lock themselves into a timetable, but arranging a general strike without a date chosen seems like it is an uphill battle at best.
It was always shit. Now we just have technology that lets us see all of it.
There was always a genocide going on somewhere in the world. Cops always brutalized and killed people. The wealthy always exploited the poor. New diseases are always popping up and spreading. Politicians were always corrupt.
The internet tells us about all of it. We no longer have the bliss of ignorance.
You can definitely find this dynamic in anime, although a lot of the romance stories are about couples getting together rather than an established relationship. “Horimya” and “My Dress Up Darling” are both series which are recent and very popular. They might be close to what you want. Some less popular titles that are more precisely what you described are “An Archedemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride” and “Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie”.
