I’m using Private Internet Access. It’s weird, because as soon as I turn it on, FreeTube fails to play anything.

I’m not understanding why it doesn’t work when I turn on my VPN, though. Is there a way to watch Youtube and have the VPN on?

What annoys me is that they seem to just ignore any requests to fix things that are broken. For instance, I don’t want to see everyone’s incoming video by default. I have to turn it off for. Every. Single. Meeting.

I suspect that Microsoft views Teams users as basically hostages since it’s often something forced onto a big user base at many companies. If you hate it? Too bad: if you want to stay employed, you’ll just use it.

I could not agree more. This is the same bunch that tries to make being liberal a dirty word. They use liberal as epithet, along with things like environmentalist, community organizer, social justice (SJW), or veg*n (“soy boy”). Also: being educated, or in fact, aspiring to anything more than just being a huckster, a sportsball star, or, more recently, an “influencer”.

Yeah, but it’s seemingly what donvict believes about tariffs. Also, donvict seems to think that “trade deficit” means China owes us something.

I spent a lot of formative years in an extremely rural area. People would take a lot of their time running down the local area, mocking the state of the school we went to, how there was nothing to do, and so on.

But, I noticed two things - first of all, if anyone talked about moving somewhere else in the country, or to a big city, these same people would express shock and outrage and say overtly racist things like “but that’s where all the nKLANGers are!”. Also, few of them had actually went anywhere else - some of them had never left the county, few left the state, and very rare was it that someone had left the country.

Secondly, if the topic of the greatness of this country came up, it was the bestest evar, at everything, than any other! I sometimes would ask these people how they would even know, since, in some cases, they’ve seen almost none of this country and they have never been to any other, and they thought the area they lived in was kind of a shithole?
