I have lucid dreams and I get excited when it happens and make some fun decisions. “Oh, this is a dream. Sweet, I’m gonna go do [X] now.” I always remember don’t try flying, because it was scary when I tried and jolted me out of the dream.
But here’s the thing. Once I’m awake, as I think about it, it seems like I did exactly what I wanted to do, but I realize that there’s absolutely no way of knowing whether I genuinely had control or just dreamed that I had control and made those choices. But in the end I did have control and made those choices because it’s my brain, right? And I feel like I did; it’s more like a memory than a dream. But following the same line, I could question reality.
Anyway, I’m currently cynical and think nobody actually controls their dreams, they only wake up thinking they did.
In this case, someone would have to sue or otherwise intervene. But that action is radically unpopular. Nobody wants to be that guy.
I want to hard agree with Apple that people are, in fact, too stupid to choose their own apps, but not following Apple’s greedy logic.
Look at the top apps and sites people use. The tech billionaires. It’s stupid as hell

Ohhhh, I had no idea why I had that game

I was excited for that movie, and I think yeah they nailed the atmosphere. Ended up not liking it at all, though

I never played d&d or any games of that style, and probably missed out on a bunch of the catered moments, but I still enjoyed it very much
I really want to use Piefed, but Voyager app is so, so good

Hear me out. Sometimes I hear quantum physics stuff and my brain understands what is being said but just like still cannot grasp how to reach some of the conclusions. Like it doesn’t fit my mindset or something, I don’t know. String theory is hard for me for example.
I’ve decided to start picturing some people as hearing stuff that doesn’t fit within their scope and just… noping out and hiding back in their box because anything more than a one step equation just can’t ever make sense in their brain.
I know this doesn’t help, but makes me less angry at them.

Many block only hexbear and lemmygrad because they are just propaganda machines. Mostly they were left unblocked until their users started to invade other instances to spread their blatant propaganda.
I think if it like an ad block. On lemm.ee, I blocked them both on my own anyway because I found them obnoxious.
If you go to the main page website of an instance and scroll all the way to the bottom, there should be an “instances” button that will tell you which instances are federated and which are blocked. I figure the default page is like lemme.ee/instances or sopuli.xyz/instances for example.
edit: I’ve upset the .ml Also, you’ll see most have chapo.chat is also on the blocked list because it is Hexbear when Hexbear lost their server or something

Sobering up left a void. He filled it with a different bad vice. Gotta have something positive to replace a vice before attempting to remove it
“Selectively” is a new word that wasn’t mentioned in the post I replied to. I get that it’s better to not have access to the data at all, and lying to customers is shitty, etc. I use signal and not telegram. But ‘refusing to comply with demands from other groups for data access is correct behavior’ was my only argument. Nothing about equivalence
Isn’t it good for a communication company to be noncompliant with people’s conversations?

Those fine people are still working day in and day out trying to help me eliminate the awful labor aspect of my company. The pie chart says labor is a big cost for me. I understand pie chart, and I don’t like that

At least in the US, I’m absolutely destroyed that people just don’t care. They talk like they care, but they just fucking don’t. I don’t get it at all. They will gripe about how evil and bad something is, then just keep using it. “If everyone else is, so will I” maybe. Group Inertia.

I took my dad for cancer radiation treatment. While in the waiting room, this little old lady came in. I saw her struggling to remove a necklace and offered to help. She had really tangled herself in it trying to get it on (definitely in a “chemo brain” mind fog).
She answered her phone, and I heard a very obvious scam on the other line. I tried telling her, and at first she tried to explain to me that I was wrong, it was some kind helpful people. I took the phone from her and confirmed it was a scam. I told the staff at the clinic but that was about all I figured I could do.
This Ai maybe could have helped. Maybe.

Same
I meant that fabrication doesn’t imply intent as “lies” would.
It seems like you use the hallucinations term correctly, when output has no relation to input.
In this case, as in many numerous others, the Ai took input of “cite a source” and did as output cite a source as requested, but invented the content of the source. It fabricated, which means to make up, create.
Fabricate does not imply intent to deceive, where lie does.
I will agree that if the output is purely unrelated to the input, hallucination is still fine, but is absolutely a romanticized term when we’re referring to this computer generated code… It’s literally personification.
Does she like an “assist” type role in games rather than lead? Or the communication? Or different people with different jobs?
