Shocked i tell you. I am shocked.
No way an app would collect data it doesnt need. Preposterous.
Next thing you’ll tell me is that tiktok is doing the same thing!

Rejoice brother as you are amoung friends.
Bout time. Ticket master has been ruining venues and driving up ticket prices for years: https://www.cbs58.com/news/ticketmaster-accused-of-running-underground-ticket-scalping-project-to-drive-up-prices
Ah i see, so because its connected to other devices in the sidewalk network, if my neighbor has it hooked up to wifi and mine isnt, it still can connect to the internet.
Yea that sucks. I hate that. I have “smart” TV that i never connected to my wifi cause i use a pc for streaming.
Next thing yknow theres gonna be lte modems in these things that they pay to keep on just to spy on us ffs man.

“How much of my internet bandwidth does Amazon Sidewalk require?”
“Very little. Sidewalk’s connectivity is distinct from your home Wi-Fi. If you choose, however, to enable Sidewalk on your eligible Bridge devices, those devices would use a small amount of internet bandwidth.”
This sounds like it still needs your internet to work unless I’m missing something.
Brother laser printers are good for everyone, not just Linux users.
Helped my gfs mom troubleshoot her HP printer (I know, ew. She bought it before we met) and finally figured out from the stupid app that it was out of one color.
The app doesnt indicate this in words though, Oh no. Just a stupid infographic that doesnt say ANYTHING. Just shows a nondescript bar at the top.
Only reason I downloaded it was i thought it would be a bit more user friendly.
Long story short I recommended a brother laser printer because the last time I replaced a cartridge in it was a couple years back and that was after printing things for god knows how long. And mine is old af.
Iovance Biotherapeutics has priced the therapy, branded Amtagvi, at $515,000 per patient.
Well thank goodness these kind souls made it so affordable. And im sure it will come down in price after its really proven to be effective right?
I’m sure the RnD for this was expensive af but ffs man, even with insurance thats probably going to be out of reach for so many people.
It’s a historic victory, particularly because Epic mostly lost its fight against Apple two years ago when Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers decided that fight had nothing to do with apps.
But Epic v. Google turned out to be a very different case. It hinged on secret revenue sharing deals between Google, smartphone makers, and big game developers, ones that Google execs internally believed were designed to keep rival app stores down. It showed that Google was running scared of Epic specifically. And it was all decided by a jury, unlike the Apple ruling.
Fair point, to be quite honest it took me a while to even find those two sites. There may be better sources available but i also use duckduckgo for searching so ymmv.
But I absolutely agree with you. I do hybrid remote with my company and it not only saves me time but improves my quality of life significantly even only at 2 days a week.
And thats just what’s normally available as i can request to work from home under special circumstances like when my cat was sick and i wanted to be around to make sure he was alright.
Work from home should be available to everyone it can possibly apply to like office work, programming, call center, etc in my opinion.

Couple links i found with sources for the statistics. Owllabs is a common source between tem but i tried to find at least 2 sites with different sources.
I supoose that is a drawback if you want to view content in 4k. 1080p still being the standard is good enough for me but i do see your point.
My bad i misread your comment. You’re correct it would be less expensive to buy a smart tv only.
Never knew about CEC, learn something new everyday! Thats pretty neat.
I do understand the appeal but as a power user i just like having control. Last i used a fire stick it was slow and annoying to use but things may have changed since then.
Me personally i find a pc for streaming and whatever else i wanna do just makes more sense but to each thier own.
Im not familiar with issues like that. Ive been using my pc to stream things an watch tv shows without issue. I am using windows atm though so that may be why. Not sure if this is an issue on Linux or if you’re refering to a different OS.
You can find small form factor used office pcs for around that price rn.
There is something to be said about being plug and play though. I understand the appeal.
Valid point, not everyone likes to use a mouse and keyboard for watching shows in the livingroom.
My tv is “smart” but ive never setup any internet for it effectively making it dumb.
May i recommend just buying a small form factor pc and hooking it up to your tv instead?
Smart tvs and things like this suck anyways. Super slow and bloated with crap i dont need or want.
Or Mint Mobile the cellphone service
I wish they wouldn’t do that. If i have to hear about Southern New Hampshire University again I’m gonna hurt somebody.
If I agree to free thing and have to watch ads, aight fine.
But at least make them different man, i hate that they play the same one over and over again. It does not make me want to buy your product.
