Hello,
Sorry for the late answer. When I meant “closing”, I meant “locking” (only mods can post), you don’t even need to delete it!
Having this community opens will give new joiners the impression that this community is inactive. Also, they might post there and be discouraged by seeing very low engagement on their post, while !europe@feddit.org is very active.
As I mentioned in the other comment, if you want to mod, you can probably reach out to the mods in !europe@feddit.org, they created the community a few days ago and could probably need your help.
Hello,
@sparky@lemmy.federate.cc, if you are interested in moderating, you might help people in !europe@feddit.org, they already have 587 active users in their first week
Indeed, see this thread on !europe@feddit.de : https://lemm.ee/post/35336336?scrollToComments=true
this post on !main@feddit.de clarifies the next steps: https://lemmy.world/post/16420574
In summary, people are getting organized to manage the handover from the current admin to the new organization (kind of a similar process to what happened to feddit.uk some time ago)
Thank you for your comment
Small shout-out to !yurop@lemm.ee where we have this kind of light-hearted questions and content
Hello, thank you for this post, I missed it!
Good news, I have been using them on Mull since a while, quite useful
I personally started seeing some of my posts on other platforms get more comments and upvotes.
Which are those? Discuit?
Lemmy is fine, definitely room for improvement, but communities are starting to build.
Be wary about Reddit threads. People there are still on Reddit, they are usually very critic of any alternative
Didn’t know PVV only had Geert Wilders as a sole member, seems very strange
