I am asking specifically about vibrators vs penis sleeves. Are you saying the latter is and should be more shameful than the other?

Do you feel the same way about vibrators?

4·11 months agoGreat post OP, really made me think. I love time loop stories, but “literally everyone is in the time loop” isn’t one I’ve encountered yet. Will definitely check out your links.

101·2 years agoI think you’re underestimating the potential effects of an entire society starting to distrust pictures/video. Yeah a blurry Bigfoot fooled an entire generation, but nowadays most people you talk to will say it’s doctored. Scale that up to a point where literally anyone can make completely realistic pics/vids of anything in their imagination, and have it be indistinguishable from real life? I think there’s a pretty good chance that “nope, that’s a fake picture of me” will be a believable, no question response to just about anything. It’s a problem

politics @lemmy.world•Biden pardons thousands convicted of marijuana charges on federal lands and in Washington
191·2 years agoI think the primary difference here is that Marijuana tests detect thc going back months and months while alcohol is a much shorter duration. When those people are tested for alcohol, is that to stop them from being actually drunk on the job or to actually forbid them from drinking at any point while they’re employed?

Turns out dry sarcasm doesn’t come across well in text form, if only there was a way to indicate it
