People seem to care more about synthetic benchmarks than using a browser that gives them much less tracking and ads. Remember when chrome was popular because its so fast? I never noticed a difference between that and Firefox in ordinary web pages, except Googles, since they are intentionally making it slow for Firefox.

And with all that going on, people still picked chrome. :)

There is a bigger picture here. Food in America is using ingredients that is not allowed in the EU because its seen as toxic. That is what the focus should stay on i think.

The stock market is going up despite all this. I think investors think that profits will continue to go up while jobs are being cut. Which means these corps must now do more with less people. And the market thinks thats going to lead to more profits still.

I guess they think the future will be much more automated and need people less. And they could be right.

This is not about intelligence at all. School tells you that intelligence is important because it makes you a better worker for the corporations.

But if you think about a good person in life, their intelligence is not going to be top of the list of their best qualities.

People are so focused on intelligence that they often completely forget about other qualities a human being can have.

I would recommend endevour OS which is based on arch, so you have the latest drivers and kernel always. Ubuntu is always old and may not work properly. Try that one and things will likely just work out of the box.

I dont think its difficult. Nobody has a gun to my head forcing me to do it.

Difficult things in life are things like being permanently sick, disabled, being poor, being ugly, being bullied, being with a toxic partner, having a toxic boss etc.

But not eating unhealthy food, thats not difficult. Unless you are poor, like someone said above. Then its difficult because you cant choose something else.

Ah yes, didnt think about that. I dont blame any poor people for doing what they need to survive. I would steal food and do what is required if I needed to.
