San Fran tech founder is accused of forcing his assistant into a ‘slave contract’ that called him ‘Master’ before trafficking her for sex around the world::The lawsuit says CEO Christian Lanng made the woman sign the “shocking and repulsive” sex slave contract that led to years of “sexual abuse, torture, and assault.” Lanng denies the allegations.
I really hate the fact that people use the trappings of responsible BDSM to cover abuse. There are some people who want a 24/7 master/slave relationship, but in a case where you have an employment relationship that can’t be ethically agreed to.
I’m also confused why she isn’t suing the company considering she was fired for going to HR.
Looks like the company is also named in the suit
Yeah I sent this article to my Mistress because what the actual fuck. M/s can be done well, but many don’t because it’s very difficult and takes a lot of effort and communication and it’s more like marriage (and often is one) than a hot scene.
And yeah she should sue them too.
Whatdo you think of the portrayl in Billions?
I’ve never seen it, but I’ve seen two good representations of bdsm in media: a comic called Sunstone (which is cheating, it was literally written to address criticism of 50 shades), and the movie Exit to Eden which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen by gods if they don’t do an accurate representation of the shared humanity there.
That’s not to say these are the only good examples just that I don’t really consume much media or it and that there are a ton of bad examples. It’s really easy for writers to focus on the aesthetic and not see what’s underneath. I know some M/s couples where you wouldn’t be able to tell they’re mot just living the “traditional patriarchal household” until you talk to them and learn they’re both firm feminists.
And I’ll say Mistresses are particularly poorly represented in media as they’re often oversexualized, dehumanized, and made into cruel caricatures, when most I know are sweet and awkward nerds, who genuinely love their submissives.
Check out Billions, its right at the start of like the first episode. She’s a psychiatrist/MD so its a pretty high-stakes representation they would seemingly have had to get right
She does it with and is married to the SDNY District Attorney (in the show) and he
lovesNEEDS it lolWhat is like the psychology behind why folks want this?
It’s not the same for everyone, but for some there is a relief in not making any decisions for themselves. It definitely doesn’t appeal to me in either role.
Ah ok, like (not everyone) they spend so much time having to do everything and be leaders that they need to compensate by someone (sexually) taking the reins
