The domestic intelligence service in the eastern state of Saxony has designated the far right AfD party an extremist group. The move follows similar decisions in Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.

But in eastern Germany they are polling 32% and that’s including Berlin, which isn’t very Afd-Friendly.
They are coming closer and closer for full majority or a place in government in a coalition with CDU (They say they won’t do it, but in Thuringia they already cooperated on two laws)
