Trump's lawyers sought to challenge the hush money verdict after the Supreme Court ruled that ex-presidents have “presumptive immunity” for their official acts.
And pretty soon, there won’t be a conviction. As written, the Supreme Court ruling invalidates some of the evidence that was used against him, which invalidates the conviction. The guy’s going to get away with the whole god damned thing, and there’s a very real chance he’s going to get a 4 year victory lap as well.

Well at least so far the Trump clones haven’t been able to gain any meaningful support. Of course one could argue that’s only because Trump himself is still hanging around, but it does show that for whatever reason others are having difficulty gathering and maintaining support using his tactics.
